BIRMINGHAM, Alabama -- The fate of Paula Deen's magazine, Cooking with Paula Deen, is still up in the air after a controversy over the Food Network host's use of racial epithets led to the end of her television contract.

"We are not in a position to discuss her magazine and contract right now," said Phyllis Hoffman DePiano, the president of Birmingham-based Hoffman Media, which produces the magazine. "A statement will be forthcoming later."

"We at Hoffman Media do not condone discrimination of any kind," DePiano said.

And Lois Lerner the white tea party discriminator, is on cushy paid administrative leave waiting for her bonus. Sorry, Paula, you shouldn’t have made that over the top pathetic apology. You broke no laws!

No, you are wrong. Only ignoramuses use that word. I have noticed that certain types want the “right” to say it. No one I know uses it and I certainly wouldn’t contemplate using it. If anyone used it around me, I would leave immediately.

You can’t use that word without at least coming across as crude, stupid, myopic and mean. So use it at your own risk. What’s the benefit to you of sounding like a loser?

Some of us think it’s shallow to fawn over people who help liberals. She used her celebery to help legitimize Obama. You wanna try denying that?

I know your Mad-on over my refusal to bow and scrape over Romney colors your opinion of me, And trust me, I don’t care, but try to post something logical occasionally.

Up your meds, Norm, you’re becoming delusional and floating too many strawmen.

“Certain types want the right to say it”——what? I thought the First Amendment already guaranteed that.

It’s a racial epithet-—no more, no less, and there are lots of them. I’m sick of the attempts to try and imbue that one word with some sort of mystical, horrific evil.

I have not seen any thing this insane for a long time.

I know she’s a libtard but her recipe for coconut covered sweet potato balls is to die for. I made them a couple of years ago at Thanksgiving and everybody just inhaled them.

The democrip party has maintained a magic thinking hold over those they never wanted to see as equals, but somehow the message from Martin never sank in

Your analysis is good. It's a fascinating example of thought-control, isn't it? Orwell called it "doublethink."

From Wiki: " Although Nineteen Eighty-Four is most famous for the Party's pervasive surveillance of everyday life, this control means that the population of Oceania – all of it and including the ruling elite – could be controlled and manipulated merely through the alteration of everyday thought and language. Newspeak is the method for controlling thought through language; doublethink is the method of directly controlling thought."

It is you who have addressed her liberal side. I have addressed the issues exposed in her foolishness and the exploitation of her ignorance. Keep floating those straw assertions. It is instructional.

“...first...she’ll have to learn how to boil eggs, stir soup, and part an apple.”

Careful there; those are way beyond her mental capability’s pay-grade.

In addition, if this gets her insufferable sons off my television as well, it’s a win-win as far as I’m concerned.

Let me rephrase that

you, me and the guy next door have the right to say it, but just like anything else, you have to live with the consequence of being thought a stupid, mean, nasty low-class person.

Believe me, no one is going to respect you for it.

In language is power, the power to create or the power to destroy and it is no biggie to figure out what power that word has.

Use it at your own risk lady

So you don’t deny she was a full boat Obama supporter. Got it.

And here you are attacking someone who is happy the libs are eating their own and getting the very thing they fostered and developed for use on us. Got that too.

Well maybe ‘Us” doesn’t really apply here considering whose side you are defending. Which to be honest, shocks me not at all.

I’m not even a fan of Paula Deen (too over the top for me) but wrote Food Network to complain about her firing. Now, I’m going to have to buy her magazine! I don’t care if she’s a Democrat (she was a single welfare mother who made good), she’s being lynched by political correctness. And that is a much great evil than Paula making stupid remarks.

It is way past time to push back against the oppression of Political Correctness, and to not let the thought police get away with this.
