Los Angeles - Peter J. Coulchinsky arrived in the United States from Argentina in 1986 as a young man seeking a law degree. As his time in the U.S. lengthened, the more he decided he wanted to stay.
There was just one problem: He had only a student visa.

Chicago Cardinal Francis George told attendees the need for constant dialogue to accomplish its goals in life was imperative. He noted the need to counter the current "endemic anti-Catholicism" in the country.
"We cannot be passive," the archbishop said. "The church calls us to be in the forefront of the church in America." He suggested that "religion has to be carried by intentional religiosity," not so much by "popular religiosity."
Gomez echoed George in calling the leaders to become ever more active in bringing the values of their faith into public life.
"The future of the U.S. depends on what we (Latinos) do, influenced by our faith and by our sanctity," said Gomez during a friendly conversation with a group of local Catholic Spanish-language media covering the event. "We have to participate in the commercial life of the country, and it is important that we form our conscience and participate in the public square as well."
As he has expressed in homilies, speeches and in a book, Gomez said Americans constantly must be reminded that this country has its roots in the Catholic faith originally brought by Hispanics.
"Now is the time," he stated, "to learn who we are, to decide to stay united and where we want to go."
He said the base of the new evangelization, is to have a "holy pride, to be the best witnesses, leaders of our faith at the workplace, in the public square and at all the places we go."

Christ was Jewish and Judea as well as all surrounding country was ruled by Rome - it would seem fair to say Jesus did NOT cross any national boarders.
Narco Gospel?
Many are like Al Qaeda and only have a little Christianity in it.
Little girls get raped or lured into sex by older makes and that culture often blames the little girl.
Men often cheat on the wives and have women on the side they go to.
They love to distribute that pot from the back country.
There are some great people and some real problem people among Latinos here IMO.
How about render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s and render unto God what is God’s? These guys keep trying to give away something they don’t own which is our safety and financial futures. They are also undermining the countries these burglars come from. And of course these undocumented not yet registered Democrats will vote for the very people who will destroy the Catholic Church in America. Nice?
Why then doesn’t the Catholic Church have a problem with sending people to prison for committing a crime? Like deporting illegal aliens, that too dismantles families and tend to send those left behind spiraling towards poverty. How can the church pick and choose which laws should be enforced and which shouldn’t?
