I am sick to death of these thumbsucking articles about how we can win back the Republican Party, or how we can reform RINOs, or how we can finally get the establishment Republicans to like us. We have been whining like this for as long as I can remember. Time to cut this Gordian knot.
Tea Party Democrats. It is an idea whose time has come.
Remember the Battle of Flamburough Head. John Paul Jones, on the Bonhomme Richard, finally beat the Serapis into submission. But in doing so, he had damaged his own ship beyond repair. So he transferred his flag to the enemy vessel, and sailed on into History.
“Don’t give up the ship”, indeed...

There are already two lines on the ballot. If the Republican is not a candidate with strong conservative values, run one on the other line. The Democratic line. That way you can't split the vote and elect a liberal Democrat.

I have to disagree on that one.. One thing democrats are not is weak... they'll defend their cause and their party until all opposition is destroyed. These creatures would run their mothers through human shredders before they'd ever forego responding to an unkind word about their god 0bama.
Reform will not emerge from Washington, DC. Betting the future of what remains of our republic on the expected virtue of still unelected politicians reminds me of Einstein's definition of insanity.
The fundamental structure of our government prevents it. Once the states were booted from the senate, and senators became horrible three-term congressmen, the consolidation of nearly all power was a certainty.
Our only hope is with a restoration of vertical separation of powers, of federalism.

The Democrats are neglecting safe Republican districts, and running very weak candidates, or not running any candidates at all. This is an opportunity for us. We can steal a march on the Democrats, and they’ll never know what hit them.
The Republican Party has not lost its way. Its purpose has always been to neutralize the effectiveness of conservatives.
Tea Party democrats would start with the old blue collar Perot Bloc and Reagan democrats who in total number more than 8 million.
Precise post-election analysis pinpointed the demographic that caused the loss of the 2012 presidential election. By all accounts Obama should have been beaten but the GOP establishment choice of Romney was so awful that the blue collar conservative stayed home by more than 6+ million strong. They couldn’t stand to vote for what they rightly thought was a fraudulent GOP candidate.
Independents make up 20% to 30% of voters in elections.
Republicans make up 35% of voters.
Democrats make up 40% of voters.
Reagan democrats and the old Perot Bloc make up 7% of the electorate when they vote BUT THEY OFTEN SIT OUT ELECTIONS. I call these the blue collar conservatives.
A Tea Party conservative nominee running on the GOP ticket must take 85% of the republicans, 60% of independents (at a level of 25%) and 85% of the blue collar conservatives. This computes to 51% of the voters.
But the above calculation ignores an important dynamic. There is a dynamic that ensures a GOP landslide. To see this first consider:
1. The Blue Collar Conservative Bloc sat home in 2012 but will be out in force for a conservative nominee in the next election. So these 8+ million votes must be added to the voter pool and the percentages changed accordingly.
2. Democrat voter turnout must be dulled by a lack of BOTH enthusiasm for their nominee OR a lack of money to buy the votes. The best way to turn the money spigots off to buy democrat votes is to shut down the government as before because the money comes from government through union conduits. Democrat turnout in 2012 was down from 2008 because of less enthusiasm. If campaign money had dried up the democrat vote turnout would have risked the election.
3. Many independents are libertarians and will vote for Ron Paul type republicans. The way to appeal to them is to constantly send the message that less government is better government. Campaign on issues of homosexual marriage, abortion, marijuana legalization as State Rights issues, not for the federal government. This wins them over (it also entails overturning Roe v. Wade).
The above dynamic can bring about a 55% to 60% vote victory in any Senate, House or Presidential race.
But the downside as uttered before is that despite winning an election, the challenge is keeping the newly elected officeholder on message after sipping the Potomac rum.
Yes - I see weak as those that stand for individual interests - even though they all seem to corral together - but when it really comes to aiding those in need - they are weak - they run - they turn their heads...their stance is perceived strong - but their actions are of cowards...and that’s what the Republicans are doing right now - they want their support to perceived as strong - and unyielding - but they aren’t...their self-important actions are for individual interests alone...that’s how I see weakness...and yes, Democrat use the same tactics as Communist - blackmail - extortion - and murder...same people - different title....
There’s ALWAYS been an alternative. Look at the field of candidates as a whole, not just the ‘big’ ticket. Donate to locals whom YOU believe in...Pound the pavement to get the word out, etc.
First things though, we all should be looking on how best to break up the cartel and their ‘rulebook’ (IE: 5%+ to be heard in the ‘debates’? What kind of B.S. is that?)
Not that people would pull themselves away from Amer. Idol to give a rat’s ass anyway.

A new “Conservican” party might (a) cost us an election or two but (b) draw back those millions who stayed home instead of voting for Romney.
We have to start somewhere and somewhen, so why not here and now? We have no hope for 2016 right now, since the RINOs will force-feed us another loser no matter what conservative superstar waits in the wings. Conservatives need a place to call their own, free of RINO influence.
I believe we can start such a party NOW and make deep inroads during the 2014 midterms. Let conservatives run as either Republicans or Conservicans, since they’ll caucus together on most issues. Just get the new brand out there, quickly, to set the stage for 2016.
