Dang ol' rednecks.

I just wish that Perry and Cruz had been out there raising hell about this. I don't understand why they weren't.

I can see Abbott in his wheelchair sitting on the bank of the Red River with his rifle on his lap. :o)

Same here Marcella. Thank you for your efforts.

Here in Wisconsin, it is being carried out by FEMA buying up private lands along trout streams under the guise of the prospective threat of flooding, which may happen because FEMA and whatever other controlling authorities are no longer going to maintain the various earthen dams that protect these lands. Originally, these dams were taken over by the Feds because the costs were too high for the counties. These streams are tributaries of larger rivers.

Just a few months ago I took my Mississippi bride there. I had her read the inscriptions on all four sides of the monument. Then I paid the small fee to have the elevator operator carry us up to the Observation Deck. That trip has instilled in her a brand new appreciation for The State of Texas and how it came to be.

I can't wait till I am able to carry her up I-45 North to see the statue of Sam Houston!

shhhh.....she doesn't know about that yet!

I'm from N texas and you are taught from diapers that if you are from south Texas, your job is keepin Mexicans in Mexico, if you are from N Texas, your job is keepin Okies in Oklahoma

but in this matter...Texans and Okies will share a fox hole

but ya gotta tell the Okie not to shoot wantonly at Armadillos.....it gives away your position..

Sadly, some Okies gotta be told twice

I know that Texans and Sooners have their disagreements about sports, but for once, I think they may find common ground in telling the BLM to butt out.

"but for once"? I may/could get corrected yefragetuwrabrumuy, but in my experience, the pipeliners from Oklahoma, Louisiana and Texas have built a large, if not a majority, of this nation's oil and gas pipeline infrastructure.

What I know for a fact is that pipeliners from these three states have 'common ground'.

I appreciate your post.

p.s. Will you make an "about" page yefragetuwrabrumuy? At the very least we could know if we're posting to a Sir or Ma'am.

These brave little critters have NO IDEA what awaits them should they attempt this. I do believe it will be considered, and dealt with, as an outright invasion by many here and OK. It will not end well for them. Texas has first-hand experience in dealing with self-serving, land-grabbing tyrants.

Not to mention, how many 'Tennessee Volunteers' were at the Alamo? Never count out your FRiends!

The 'coonasses'? They kill the enemy and you never even knew they were there. I was partially raised by them. I know firsthand. Acadians are the most cunning people I have ever known.

“the BLM is attempting a repeat of an action taken over 30 years ago along the Red River when Tommy Henderson lost a federal lawsuit. The Bureau of Land Management took 140 acres of his property and didn’t pay him one cent.”

This would be impossible in a constitutional republic. Democracy means "mob rule", not rule of law (natural law).

Starve the beast - that's the only long-term solution. The statists will have to survive in private industry where they'll be busy producing until they're 65, or maybe longer to pay off the $150 trillion in unfunded liabilities and debt.

"But the River has moved over time."

I guess we can't use the $ billions already invested in GPS tech - so the Feds need to confiscate 90K acres.

Don't mess with Texas!

The Battle of San Jacinto

About 3:30 in the afternoon, during the Mexican siesta period, Houston distributed his troops in battle array, bracketing the line with the "Twin Sisters" cannon. Shielded by trees and a rise in the terrain, the Texans were able to advance with some security. Then with the cries "Remember the Alamo" and "Remember La Bahia" or "Remember Goliad" ringing along their lines, the Texans swooped down on the dismayed Mexican army, pursuing and butchering them long after the battle itself had ended.

630 Mexicans were killed and 730 taken prisoner. Texans lost only 9 killed or mortally wounded; thirty were less seriously wounded. Among the latter was General Houston, whose ankle was shattered.

The arming of Federal agencies with machine guns, armored vehicles, bullet proof vests, explosives, and even tanks, along with billions of rounds of ammunition, continues apace.

Collectively, over 25,000 individuals now work as armed agents of federal agencies not usually associated with law enforcement. These are not just guards. These agents go out on raids to enforce the orders of federal bureaucracies. No bureaucracy should have a private army to enforce its orders against the American people.

Outside of law enforcement, federal agencies now employ over 25,000 people as armed agents. They are more than guards. They’ve become like private armies that can push around private citizens. Over 70 non-military federal agencies now have their own armed agents.

One expects armed agents with the FBI, the U.S. Marshal Service and the Border Patrol.

But an armed EPA, Fish & Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, even the Social Security Administration and the National Institutes of Health?

The Department of Education and the Department of Housing and Urban Development have their own armed agents. As do the Food and Drug Administration. And Veterans Affairs, the Government Printing Office, the National Zoo, and the Library of Congress

The Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 forbids the Federal government from using Armed Forces against the American citizenry. This heavy militarization of these federal agencies appears to be an evasion that law. (NOTE: Valerie is looking this up to find loopholes as we type.

.....the standoff between the government and the Nevada ranching family got rough as the govt flexed its federally financed muscle. Members of the Bundy family were physically assaulted by armed federal officers, numerous cows were shot dead, and protesters faced threats of federal gunfire for merely expressing their outrage. But the national perception is that a resounding victory against a tyrannical federally financed agency took place on the Bundy ranch.

Nevada Dimocrat Sen. Harry Reid had the audacity to vilify as "domestic terrorists"......the peaceful pistol packers, ranchers, cattlemen, patriots, flag bearers, cowboys, cowgirls, Oathkeepers, defenders of the republic, and other Bundy supporters.

Keep in mind, the Reid family has enormous financial interests in the area. Harry seems to have access to billions of federal dollars that he spends as he pleases....with no accountability.

==========================================

Harry Reid is the poster boy for government tyranny, and massive corruption. He has used his privileged Senatorial position, govt resources and elective office to enrich himself, his family, and his cronies.

The confrontation with the Bundy family has brought to light the execrable, blatant corruption of Sen. Harry Reid and members of his family. Harry's son, Rory, has a vested interest in the Bundy land----claiming the need for an offset refuge for the "endangered" desert tortoise------but Rory's financial interests in a solar energy project just 35 miles away from the Bundy Ranch hide the Reid's true motives.

TALKING POINTS---Politico: Reid's Favors to Family Dragging Him Down

NewsMax ^ | April 8, 2014 | By Dew MacKenzie / FR Posted on Tuesday, April 08, 2014 by Jim Robinson

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has found himself slowly sinking into the political quicksand as he faces close public scrutiny over potentially enriching family members through his powerful position as a Democratic leader. The Nevada senator has recently become embroiled in the embarrassing controversy surrounding the $31,268 that his campaign paid to his granddaughter Ryan Elisabeth Reid for the purchase of gift items from her jewelry line, according to Politico.

But his weakness for pulling strings to help family members was first exposed by the Los Angeles Times a decade ago when a Nevada land bill proposed by Reid appeared to benefit his son-in-law Steve Barringer's consulting firm and his sons' legal firm.

The Howard Hughes Corp. paid $300,000 to the Washington firm Steve Barringer worked for to push a provision allowing the company to buy 1,000 acres of federal land for development in the then-burgeoning Las Vegas area, according to the LA Times. The bill also benefited a real-estate development headed by a senior partner in the Nevada law firm that then employed all four of Reid's sons — Rory, Leif, Josh, and Key — by moving the right-of-way for a federal power transmission line off his property and onto what had been protected federal wilderness.

In its report, the LA Times said, "So pervasive are the ties among Reid, members of his family, and Nevada's leading industries and institutions that it's difficult to find a significant field in which such a relationship does not exist." Reid's reputation for promoting his family's power, status, and wealth was further enhanced when it was revealed that he had lobbied the mayor/ of Henderson and a councilwoman to support his son Josh Reid's application to become the city's attorney. You know, this could encroach upon Indian reservation land...Unless that is just automatically assumed to be Federal land in the first place...I guess it would...

Therefore, if the “greater good” is to displace Indians from what the government granted them in the first place, then I guess they’ll have to pick up sticks and move out to allow a few people to make some money off that land and property...

I guess there is really no scruples/ethics/virtue left in your government anymore...Much less anyone with the juevos that is elected to any public office willing to go to bat against this activity...

Using that as an example. That is the what 90k acres would equate to. Now it is configured
differently I know but it gives a sense of size. 90000 / 640 = 140.625 sq miles. Now you
can shape that 140.625 sq mi in any shape you so desire.

The fact of the matter, sadly, is that the governors and legislatures of the various states have sold their souls to the federal devil. They’ve surrendered their states’ sovereignty to achieve personal power, fame and wealth at the expense of their citizens’ liberty. States could choose, at any time, to take a principled, constitutional stand against the encroachment of the federal government but they simply don’t want to.

The push back can only happen when your government shoots and or kills American citizens for addressing their grievances...In this case...

The citizens would have to be bloodied hard first...

That’s just the way it has to be...The people cannot be the first to shoot...We lose ANY credibility, or public approval if our side shoots first...

It is a hard pill to swallow...There is no other way it could work...

We’ve given the politicians years to get this government in check and they have failed miserably...When it becomes deadly for the citizens to assemble and address their grievances, when we lose that First Amendment right to speak our minds, vote, assemble (peaceably, even with the display of arms), and some are murdered because of that...

Then you know what to do, and when to do it...

Just remember this is a public forum, I would keep your intent close to your chest and not advertise it to anyone...

Cooler heads will prevail, smarter reactions, beget tangible results...Going toe to toe with the Redcoats in open field battle is a sure way to lose every single time...

There are many more clever ways to take out the trash when you get right down to it...
