I like this from the article:

FBI spokeswoman Alice Heller said there was “no threat to public safety.”

and:

Chamberlain owns a Nissan that reportedly could be rigged with explosives.

“KGO said the amount of ricin found is the largest ever seen before in the city.”

So how much ricin do they usually find?

For them to be calling this ricin, without any chemical confirmatory evidence, means that this was likely a tip of sorts (unless they had some reason to have been watching this guy). I'll wait for chemical confirmatory evidence before getting too concerned.

Fox News says he is a political junkie.

There is a LinkedIn profile for a Ryan Chamberlain in San Fran with a MA degree “Political Campaigning Program” from University of Florida.

Too early to say if this is him.

From Gateway Pundit:

Ryan Chamberlain has the Twitter account “poliholic.”
He’s a global warming fanatic—

“Chamberlain is reportedly a “political junkie” with a criminal record of minor infractions.”

To be serious, perhaps an OWS type?

BS-o-meter is indeed detecting something... How many times are the initial reports wrong when they found “an arsenal of assault rifles or explosives” and end up being nothing. Just a few .22 riles and a some fireworks.
We’ll see if this is still ricin in the next press release.

Not much insight here I’d say but perhaps a picture. Again, disclaimer, at this stage we don’t know.

““grassroots building and community organization.”

One can make some observations, I will wait a bit...

According to The Gateway Pundit, this Chamberlain is a Leftist, Global Warming fruitcake. And just when I was about to blame the TEA party . . . Wait, the TEA party drove him to it. He is just trying to save the earth.

It's hard to square
"no threat to public safety"

with

agents were wearing protective equipment for their safety

and

Chamberlain could be armed and dangerous

and

Chamberlain owns a Nissan that reportedly could be rigged with explosives.

I think that the threat is exaggerated and misleading, because that's what both the FBI and the press do. (What does "could be rigged with explosives" mean exactly? Any car "could" be rigged with explosives.)

Something strange here. There may be more than one Ryan Chamberlain, and some of the news services might have put up a picture of the wrong one.
