Massie is the only guy in KY I would vote for for anything. A rare man of fearless integrity!

Massie nails it. Pray that his words reach others preparing to vote and pray that Americans melt the Capitol switchboard.

Well until the gop-e/rino leadership is replaced, we won’t get any substantial conservative goals/plans even attempted to be accomplished.

And the people replacing them must be willing to fight as long as they are in their position. The war is forever and the issues are forever because the left doesn’t ever give up and the courts are stacked thanks to the rinos and gop-e.

Can’t have someone for just one issue fight hard, then coast the rest of the term. Walker has done that and it’s not good. Wasting time because you don’t want to keep working on the hard issues that remain. And plenty remain.

Is anybody keeping a count of how many have come out against the Boehner?

“For years I watched Washington from afar and suspected that something was broken. Why is it that so many people approve of their congressman, yet they consistently disapprove of Congress? During my first two years as a congressman I discovered a significant source of the dysfunction,” Massie said, before detailing several bad things that he “watched the House Leadership” do.

Or, “not do?”

What have a few of us on this website been saying FOR YEARS!!!

Ok, so this is 2 (Two) out of a couple hundred people from around the country the people send to Washington D.C. to represent US...This is a total of two, who have come out publically against the GOP and its leadership, or for lack of a better term, “entrenched” politicians...

People in those districts who either have one of two things going on, actually three...And this applies to that other house, you know, the Senate...

#1 it is a democrat held district, and therefore full of people who do not think past the tax-infused government handouts, or other entitlements, and do not want or desire to get out of that lifestyle...

#2 the people in those districts that do vote republican, and not necessarily concerned about that politicians conservatism, believe their guy/gal is bullet proof and beyond approach, and will never vote against them, regardless of competition...therefore are political cowards...

#3 no one wishes to compete for conservative votes, or engage the status quo, as stated in #2...

So where does this lead us yet again??? The politicians currently holding position believe they are relatively safe, if they either tow the leadership line, or don’t make a lot of waves against that leadership...They play it safe...

Those that do make waves have positioned themselves for a lot of ostracized PR from a variety of sources, and if they can weather that, the constituency of those districts are to be commended for keeping them around, because they are people who pay attention, have realistic expectations from their guy/gal in that office, and a lot of other districts around the country should learn a thing or two from them...

The other side of this healthy political pessimism (my opinion) is that “Ohio” congressman Boenher will not have to worry about just two republican congressmen publically announcing their intent to not support him for the Speaker job, #3 in the line of succession FYI...

There are too many who will for purposes of going along to get along, will anoint him yet again...

The solution Was not achieved, back in the primaries, and even though we may have sent a message with a few who were shown the door (street, for lack of a better term, i.e.: Cantor) this idea will not flourish publically or practically because of their idea they are above reproach, and they believe their constituency will forget ALL about this idea, yet again...

Otherwise, what else do you think they really want us to concentrate on??? Real issues WE want them to get done???

Hehehe, you believe that, I got a horse I wanna sell ya...Dirt cheap...

I hate to be this way, I really do, but after years of sitting back, coming up front and speaking my mind with substantive criticisms, and most important, solutions, for deficiencies in our political system, doing what I can, when I can, within the system to encourage political courage when issues like this arise...It is usually for not...

Apparently it is our future to get this done the “hard” way...And that may not occur in what is left of my life, and may never be accomplished anyway...

Until people realize, “What are YOU going to do about it, and what are YOU willing to sacrifice to get it done?”

Sacrifice being the key word...

I would apologize for my harshness, but I have learned a lot about going against the grain is about being unapologetic about your position...;-)

Boehner also made sure to “give members less than 72 hours to read bills over 1,000 pages long, and,” Massie said, has proven he will “remove members from committees simply because they voted for the principles upon which they campaigned.”

...

He’s met the enemy and the enemy is Boehner.

Massie, who’s entering his second term as a member from Kentucky, now becomes the second Republican House member announcing the coming rebellion against Boehner.

Good for him! That takes courage!

Ohhhh, and most important...

Something to consider IF this does come to fruition...

And entirely a different topic of discussion...

“WHO” would, or should become “speaker”???

Again, refer to #10, because I believe separately we will all hang by that decision as well...

The political wisdom in this country is seriously compromised...

Massie said that Boehner “schedule[d] a fiscal crisis in a lame duck session on the last legislative day before Christmas to get maximum leverage over rank and file members” and then worked to “mislead members into thinking that a vote on an unpopular bill was postponed, only to then conduct a rushed voice vote on the $10 billion unfunded spending measure with fewer than a dozen members present.” Boehner also made sure to “give members less than 72 hours to read bills over 1,000 pages long, and,” Massie said, has proven he will “remove members from committees simply because they voted for the principles upon which they campaigned.”

As I expected.

Boehner is a liberal Democrat of the sort you find in Pelosi or Reid.

Boehner is in Obama’s back pocket or it is even possible that Boehner has his head so far up Obama’s backside that he is navel gazing out of barack’s belly button. they golf together so just maybe Obama gave boehner a golf club for a spine and two golf balls in a sack, so at least Boehner would not be considered ball less and without a spine.

The vote on whether Boehner Stays or Goes.. as speaker..
WILL BE the only dependable RINOmeter...

No matter WHAT you "think" is true may not be true..
THIS vote will determine the playing field..

NO one knows what Boehner is up to (and has been up to) MORE than the sitting members of the House.. all of them..
THIS vote is a coming out of the closet vote..

They should all threaten to vote for Pelosi. Nah, that wouldn’t do any good ‘cause Boner would be happy with Pelosi taking his place.

Boehner is a disgrace.

If GOP congressmen vote him back in, then either they are not GOP or I’m not.

A lot of conservative folks here have left GOP over the years and I’m moving toward the exit too.

My family history is GOP, it never occurred to me to be anything else. I cut my teeth, from the time I was in short pants, on conservative political philosophy. I’ve been waiting a long time for GOP to fight for the ideals they supposedly believe in. Its sad, really. And a little bit embarrassing.
