Republicans always enjoyed leaving Nevada Sen. Harry Reid bandaged and bruised during touch legislative fights, but they never thought they'd see him like this.
Reid returned to the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday after missing the first two weeks of the new congressional session with major injuries from an exercise-related accident.
The liberal stalwart, derided by Republicans as 'Dingy Harry,' broke several bones in his face and fractured some ribs when an exercise machine failed on New Year's Day, hurling him headlong into cabinets at his new house in Nevada.

Whatever happened to him sounds pretty bad. I’m not a fan of his as a person or a legislator, but I wouldn’t wish this on him. That said, maybe he should retire to focus on his health.

He should have just redistributed the cash amount to the worthy ..

He either learned the hard way that Wild Turkey and the treadmill don’t mix or he got a visit from somebody. Its hard to picture those kinds of injuries from a simple sober trip off the treadmill.
Looks like Reid has taken several street beatings.
He may lose sight from this?? What did he do to himself? The press portrayed this as just a simple "slip and fall" type incident. We aren't getting the whole story.
To my own discredit, I am not as charitable as you.
I simply do not care what happens to him.
The part he has played in the destruction of our republic cannot be overstated.
That, coupled with his zeal for enrichening himself and his kin at the expense of U.S. taxpayers leads me to literally have no sympathy for him no mater how much he suffers.
And there I was hoping he was returning in a pine box for his “obligatory” state funeral. Just a purely evil man!
Nice story. Sounds like he failed to deliver something he promised and was given a reminder.
We only have his word this was an accident. I’ve never believed a thing he’s said.
I’m not sure I’m buying the “treadmill bucked me off.” excuse.
Perhaps Mr. Reid is behind paying debts he owes to a particular organization with strong roots in Vegas.

I’m thinking he pissed off somebody in a union who decided to teach him a lesson. I’ve been a gym rat for 40 years and I’ve never seen an injury like this. But a hit to the eye by a fist...That’s what it looks like to me.
