Stupid question. The cic does not need to know the inane details of the name of a commander of an obscure force. They need to have the right principles. It’s just the way the elites make it known that they think they’re better than us. I hope his standing in the polls goes up.
Graham at face value would not be a bad pick, he has the background and experience
But, there are lots of actual conservatives to pick from, instead of McCain's anus attachment, Linda Graham...
That would be the one whose members will brook absolutely NO criticism of their chosen candidate whatsoever. It would be the one that wants to banish anyone who suggests that their chosen candidate might have flaws, or areas where he needs to improve. It would be the one that requires absolute sycophantic, Pavlovian, allegiance to their chosen candidate.
It's called a "cult of personality", and clamoring to join one is an indication of a lack of ability to think for oneself. No matter what we are sick of, providing blind, unconditional allegiance to an INDIVIDUAL is an invitation to disaster.
But, since you have requested it, I will "count you in" to Mr. Trump's cult of personality.
>>But, there are lots of actual conservatives to pick from, instead of McCain’s anus attachment, Linda Graham...
Maybe not actual conservatives, but Rubio and Paul are both on the Senate Foeign Relations committee.
BFD. This reminds me of the 2000 debate when Bush couldn’t name the president of Pakistan (Musharaff), and just called him “the general”. Then the second debate Bush dropped so many names of foreign leaders SNL did a skit on it.
Look, if you’re going to stir multisyllabic words into your turd soup, do it in a way that doesn’t call others sycophantic, pavlovian, or cultist. Otherwise you’ll end up looking like a supercilious, condescending, patronizing, elitist RINO. Or perhaps just a jerk. It’s not a cult of personality, professor, it’s a hammer to beat the establishment GOPe!! A GOPe that you apparently have little hesitation to support. No true conservative likes everything Trump stands for, maybe not even most everything he stands for. But no true conservative calls him/herself a rock-ribbed Republican either, do they?
Okay...
Let’s say he memorizes the names of all the world leaders. Will he then be criticized because he can’t spell them correctly; know what year they assumed power; be intimately familiar with their stance on every single issue?
It WAS a gotcha question.
No surprise. The press is notorious for such things.
PRESS Question: Mr. Presidential wannabe, who is the deputy mayor of the town of Oblinksy in the Kingdom of Whichistan?
PRESS Reaction: Ahhhh! Horrors, that Presidential wannabe is ignorant in foreign affairs!
==
This from a press that couldn’t find its ‘rear’ with both hands.
His answer was perfect. He pretty much said “continue with the question.” In other words, is this just a gotcha game or did you really want to ask me something about him?
And I think “Quds” was picked purposely because it sounds like “Kurds,” especially to someone in NYC where people drop their Rs.
Ahh, the Trumpsters are almost as thin skinned as their leader.
I thought Obama was thin skinned, Trump is that times 10 at least.
Everything Trump needs to know about the rag head camel humpers happened on 9-11.
That's very insightful and thought provoking. Nevermind that we have strong alliances in the middle east with Arab people we do not consider "rag head camel humpers". I mean you literally sound like the caricature of a Donald Trump supporter with statements like that.
Why dont all 12 of you guys start your own web site?
Touchy, touchy. More Trumpster rage when "the Donald" actually has to answer tough questions or is put on the spot.
If Trump can't handle tough questions, especially while leading in the polls, he is utterly unfit for the presidency.
It is going to be sad indeed to watch the wailing, flailing, crying and whining of the Trumpster brigades once these things pile up and people realize "the Donald" is not a conservative, does not have the temperament to be President and is just not a realistic option for the White House.
Did you even bother to read my original post (the one that launched the sycophant in to telling me to leave this site)? My original post was mildly critical of Trump, at worst - yet it resulted in vitriolic outrage on the part of his supporters.
RE: your comment: A GOPe that you apparently have little hesitation to support.
Please provide evidence of my support for the republicrat party (other that the fact that I do not worship Donald Trump) or stop lying about me.
It’s why a President selects advisors to, you know, ADVISE him on the often very minute details before making those domestic and foreign policy decisions. The captain of a ship has folks in the engine room doing stuff there that, while he may be fully capable of them himself, has more vital things on his mind.
What I want is a president who picks his own people people who, while they may not always agree, have the same basic philosophy, love of the nation and concern for its welfare and safety. Would not that concern be a refreshing change from the traitor now infesting the Spite House?
An example of the other sort was JFK who, after being installed, had to be INTRODUCED TO HIS DEFENSE SECRETARY, Robert “Tie The Troops’ Hands Behind Their Backs” McNamara.
Question: WHO TOLD JFK McNAMARA WAS TO BE HIS SECDEF??? There are many other examples, but I think you get the idea.
Oh, BTW, PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN!!
Yes, it was. But he handled it clumsily.
Bet he won't make that mistake again. He's a smart guy.
Careful, the Trumpists (Trumsters? Trumpettes?) might interpret that as an all-out assault on their man!
Oh I'm aware. And like their leader (maybe they should just call him "the leader"), they are prone to responding to even the most constructive criticism with childish replies.
Someone else (Conscience of a Conservative) posted this to me and it applies so perfectly to Trumpsters:
Trump: I believe X, not Y.
Trumpettes: X! X! X! X! How could you not believe X? Only a GOPe loser could believe Y! Go Trump!
(next day)
Trump: I believe Y, not X.
Trumpettes: Y! Y! Y! Y! Look at that moron over there who believes X! Go Trump!
We’ll see. You are probably right.
In my opinion, if he is as smart as his supporters say he is, he will:
1) Come up with a clever yet gracious way to handle “gotcha questions” - one that does not make him look like a petulant egoist.
2) Get at least a basic education in the history and politics of the Middle East.
I agree 100% that neither he nor any other candidate should be expected to know every name of every obscure bad guy (or organization) in the Middle East, but in this instance Mr. trump came across (at least to some of us who do not worship him) as ignorant and indignant.
I have made no secret of the fact that I do not trust Trump’s recent conservative conversion. However, I also have not made any wild pledges to “never vote for him no matter what”, nor have I made a habit of attacking him for the sake of attacking him. It’s only September of 2015. There is still a long way to go.
Its why a President selects advisors to, you know, ADVISE him on the often very minute details before making those domestic and foreign policy decisions.

Exactly, and something I said on this thread as well.
so instead of doing his bluff and blunder thing, just come out and say it first.
That is what takes the wind of the sails of those asking these questions.
As has been said about Trump before, arguing with the press is like wrestling in the mud with a pig, you won’t win and the pig likes it.
A President must know these things. Trump needs to watch the news.
He was not asked to name 100 terrorists, only one.
