Those outlets opposing linkage will likely be limited to liberal sites and NYC/Beltway establishments. Other sites will likely be happy to have linkage because it increases advertising ratings as viewers click on the links.

So the leftists rags are probably shooting themselves in the foot. They erroneously think that the conservative majority will suddenly go quiet and give up. Nothing could be further from the truth. Work arounds will find a way.

We have seen in the last several years actions to impose a “fairness doctrine” on broadcast media, actions to open sites to FCC involvement and oversight, actions to give internet control of website URLs to foreign entities and now we see a plan to try and shut down, penalize, prohibit conservative sites that link to and reflect headlines of liberal media. It should not be surprising.

I think it’s a blessing in disguise and I welcome the challenge it brings and look forward to the quickening of the demise of the liberal media.

Why not create your own headline or what ever and just spell out the site of reference instead of using their link?

For example, if it were and LA Times, or NY Times, instead of using their link, just spell out the site like above and the user could perform a relatively quick search if wanted?

I find it ironic that Drudge skims and re-uses content provided by people who in at least some cases actually go out, do research, write stories, then he complains that "...they’re taking your energy and you’re getting nothing in return – nothing!”

I mean, does nobody else see the contradiction here?

This is huge. So which liberal justice in such arrogance would approach Drudge and under what circumstances would such an interaction take place?

I could see Scalia approach him as a warning letting him know it is coming...(Scalia would be a vote against, of course).

“I had a Supreme Court Justice tell me it’s over for me,” said Drudge. “They’ve got the votes now to enforce copyright law, you’re out of there. They’re going to make it so you can’t even use headlines.”

one has to wonder that if the courts decide it is copywrite infringement to link to other sites whether or not some sites can ALLOW other sites to link to them and waive the copywrite crap of the new law?

Google and Yahoo go along with the liberal agenda. They have nothing to fear. Only conservatives are terrorists according to Uncle Sugar.

All of this is about selective law enforcement. You make everything illegal and then you can arrest or destroy your political enemies. Lois Lerner, is the perfect example.

That is why I want to see a very weak FedGov, and no IRS - they cannot be trusted with power. The founders knew it.

And the majority of people who gravitate towards working in the FedGov tend to be far leftist busy-bodies. Conservatives typically are not crazed control freaks.

Well, does the MSM have any idea how few of their stories I would even see if they were not linked here?

Obviously not.

No linky, no lookie!

At least their electric bills will go down...

This entire regime and ethos needs to be deposed , overthrown and exorcised from the fabric of America . Forever .

4 years of a national military counsel and an appointed civil administration , to sort things out .

We could post paintings of the articles in collage form and call it ‘art.’
Or photos of the articles immersed in containers of urine.
Art!
FR would then be an art museum. Then you could apply for an NEA grant.
