U.S. presidential candidate Ben Carson recommended praying for rival Donald Trump after the real-estate mogul and television personality, in a 95-minute rant in Iowa, likened him to a child molester, Carson's business manager said on Friday.
"When I spoke with Dr. Carson about this yesterday how we should respond, you know he was so sad about it. He said: "Pray for him." He feels sorry for him because he really likes Mr. Trump," Armstrong Williams, who often acts as Carson's surrogate in the media, told CNN.
"To see him just imploding before our very eyes - it's just sad to watch," Williams said.
Speaking in Iowa on Thursday evening, Trump, a leading contender for the Republican nomination in the 2016 presidential election, cast doubt on Carson's oft-reported story of lunging at someone with a hunting knife as a child, an episode Carson says led him to his Christian faith.
A retired neurosurgeon, Carson has emerged as the main challenger to Trump's top position in national polls and popularity in early deciding states. A Reuters/Ipsos poll this month found 31 percent of Republicans favored Trump. Carson followed at 18 percent.
"Give me a break," Trump said in his Thursday speech, where he also lashed out at other Republican candidates and Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton. "How stupid are the people of Iowa? How stupid are the people of the country to believe that crap?"
He said the incident showed Carson had a "pathological" temper.
"If you're pathological, there's no cure for that," Trump said. "If you're a child molester, there's no cure. They can't stop you."
Carson has said his intended stabbing victim's belt buckle blocked his knife, a detail Trump singled out in his rant.

Carson seems to be a good man. However, I think we need a fighter for the next President. Our country right now is so destroyed that having a nice guy is not going to cut it. Plus, I don’t think he would “fight” Hillary as much as Trump will which could hurt our chances in November. All this nonsense from his past 50 years ago is just crap. But it still doesn’t take away from the fact that Carson is too nice to be President at this time.

Dr. Carson is a good person, but he has to understand, the USA is in very bigtime trouble. We need fighters such as a Trump or a Cruz.
Now I’ve seen it all. Two lost men throwing religion back and forth at each other.

I’ve been wondering for a while if the reason Carson always looks and acts like Sleepy Ben was because he’s on some kind of a tranquiliser to help him deal with his temper.
I wonder what would happen if his manager took him off the trank?
If you haven’t been keeping up here I’m not going to waste my time bringing you up to date...there have been so many posts on this subject its hard for anyone not to know what he has said and what has been proven....

Trump is making a significant mistake here.
Donald, spend your time telling us about your ideas and plans. I don’t need to hear anything from you about how bad Carson, Bush, etc. are. I can draw those conclusions on my own.

Two issues have been brought up. Both do not prove that he lied at all.
One was his recollection of a scholarship at West Point offered verbally by General Westmoreland.
The other was his mention of a stabbing incident when he was a youth.
Not one of the above have been shown to be lies. Faulty recollection at best for the former. No witness of the second one.
What other lies did he tell?

Watched the speech online. I think Trump was brilliant. He is a master speaker who knows exactly what’s he’s doing. I love it!

Quoting Carson’s own words and then calling him akin to a child molster is like calling St. Paul an unreformed murderer.
In Trump’s worldview, there seems to be no room for spiritual redemption of any kind.
