Donald Trump suggested Monday that U.S. counterterrorism officials should shut down certain mosques in response to the horrific terrorist attacks in Paris last week.
“I would hate to do it but it’s something you’re going to have to strongly consider,†the 2016 Republican frontrunner said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe†when asked if he would recommend taking the measure.
“Some of the absolute hatred is coming from those areas,†he said.

Is it truly a 1st Amendment matter when a a so-called “religion” teaches the overthrow of government?
While A1 defends relision and speech, it does not outlaw the monitoring of such in a manner to determine the end-game.

Certainly close any mosque associated with an attack. On deck for closing, any mosque where rhetoric encourages terror, and a final for closure, any mosque funded by external funding sources.

The Klan is not a recognized religion, nor does it claim to be, and its headquarters are not places of worship. It's a slippery slope. If you give the government the right to blanket surveillance on mosques then will a future Democrat administration use that power for surveillance on churches opposed to abortion or same-sex marriage?
I’m old enough to remember that the US attorney general used to have a list of organizations that advocated the violent overthrow of the United States. The KKK was on that list, along with various communist groups, etc. To hold a federal job, you had to sign a statement swearing you were not a member of one of those organizations.
Can there be any good reason why we don’t have such a list today?

Well obviously its stereotyping. There are plenty of radical Islamic terrorists that don’t want to take over the U.S, they want to destroy it. Stereotyping the two will offend somebody. /s
All Islam is incompatible with Western Civilization. Shut them all down. Tell mooselimbs that if they want to practice their death cult, there are what, 50 mooselimb dominated countries they can easily move to. If they want to stay here, then give up association with the cult of death and conquest.
