Star Wars Is Garbage
Breitbart ^ | 12/11/2015 | MILO YIANNOPOULOS

Posted on 12/11/2015 2:44:59 PM PST by Borges

With Star Wars, liberal Hollywood got it all wrong. They get everything wrong, of course, but this movie franchise really takes the biscuit. They turned the heroes into villains, and the villains into shining beacons of virtue. With a new film on the horizon, I feel duty-bound to warn you about the desperate shortcomings of this particular entertainment phenomenon.

If we are honest with ourselves, the real wretched hive of scum and villainy is Skywalker Ranch, where George Lucas and his band of morally dissolute bastards created the Star Wars universe, a blight on western civilisation and culture.

The author tried too hard to be funny. The 1977 Star Wars was a classic, none of the crew or the actors really thought it would amount to anything. Sir Alec Guinness wrote a letter to a friend where he basically said he was embarrassed to be in the movie. But I give Lucas credit for sticking to his original concept. Spielberg's suggestion to Lucas to add the music of John Williams made the movie. After the original, the first two sequels were.....OK. But it is also true that the movies are full of paganism, and every plot turn is a ripoff of something else. Lucas became even more full of his atheistic self after making billions. Anyone who watches the YouTube video of the making of the Phantom Menace would agree that Lucas was a blowhard, a liar, and his ideas basically sucked. His crew kissed hid behind endlessly, while trying to save his rubbish film. It is entertainment, I get that. Some weirdos treat the whole genre as a religion, because they have no interest in God.

I saw Star Wars around 1977 and thought it was great fun. Obviously not realistic but so what, it was fantasy. Such things as light sabers were totally impossible but you just ignored the facts.

The next one was just about as good then “Return of the Jedi” started off OK then just fell off a cliff.

The whole problem was people began treating it as if it was a religion. People took it seriously and probably so did Lucas. When they started trying to teach lessons with the nonsense such as the Ewoks it really sucked.

It still does as far as I know.

Or giant metallic doors shutting at high speed without making hardly a sound. I never could figure that out.

Who is the Phantom Menace? I bet you don’t know.

That would be none other than Senator Palpatine (Darth Sidious in disguise) - manipulating things in the background...of the Sith order thought to be extinct, but had reappeared...hence the "phantom" menace.

Star Wars is new age pantheist propaganda. The all encompassing God of the cosmic humanists is not a personal God, but merely a cosmic force. There is no transcendent God “out there” apart from His creation. God is the creation.

I thought Lucas turned (sold) the whole thing over to Disney and he doesn’t have anything to do with it moving forward..

anyway, it’s a story of good vs evil just like a 100 million other stories and if you take off your particular bias that’s all it is..

I always put these movies in the prism of WWII Nazi’s vs USA.. that seemed to me to be where the heart of it came from..

(not talking directly at you Idaho, just using your post to post)
