Yes, it does that very well, but it has also helped mainstream dangerous Eastern mysticism and New Age thought.

Don’t you love it when these idiots complain about something a week before it even comes out. This complaining about everything is getting so tiring. Grow up. Don’t go see it if it is so bad (not speaking to you Borges).

especially on the Gamergate controversy and the PC-take over of games.

Absolutely hilarious. Wow. And this guy gets paid for writing about fluffy not important things. I mean who gives a crap if a video game is PC or not. I think that is the silliest thing I have ever seen. Aren’t most video games, kill em, knock em out type games? Lord of all the problems on Earth. This dosh is really saving the World from absolutely nothing.

Lol!

I never saw that before. So many great lines:

"Thank you magic trash caahn."

"You can't beat a DUI checkpoint with gum! We've been drinkin' all night!"

It’s actually a fairly important thing. Video gamers as well as science fiction fans are normally apathetic on politics.

However now all of the sudden being labelled as misogynists because science fiction literature and video games lack “diversity” is a huge wake-up call. People want to be left alone from the ever growing creep of political correctness.

I was a tiny kid when ANH came out, but my dad told me later that he realized it *was* a comedy when Leia blasts them into the trash compactor. That’s what most people don’t get. The best is The Empire Strikes Back (my vote for best movie of all time) which has very little humor, but most of the rest do.

It’s just the way it is, and it’s fine by me.

LOL. I did not see any of the last 3 Star Wars movies. Must be I missed something.

Yes, you missed hours of putrid back-story and some truly horrific acting. I wish I could un-see the prequels.

I respectfully disagree. It was a vehicle for George Lucas to make money. No, not just a vehicle for George Lucas to make money, it's even worse: It was actually intended to be a vehicle for Lucas to spread not just anti-War propaganda, but also to spread pro-Vietcong/Communist propaganda, AND it was meant to be the third movie in a thematic trilogy on anti-War movies made by him, which included American Graffiti and Apocalypse Now (yes, Lucas actually had involvement in that film). So far as the topic, while I do think he lost it when he claimed Jabba was misunderstood, I do think he was spot on regarding the Empire and Rebels, though only because George Lucas, some of his associates, as well as development notes on how Star Wars came to be had to open their big fat mouths about the Rebels being Vietcong members and how the Empire was actually supposed to represent us Americans, which definitely was a huge betrayal for me, who had initially thought the Rebels were either us fighting the USSR, or us fighting the British Empire in the War for Independence, heck, even the French Resistance fighting Nazi Germany.
