In the last general election, Romney always had huge rallies and Obama was having difficulty getting people out to his events. FReepers on this db would always talk about it and their belief that good old Obama would lose.

He did lose, in an honest count. Obama was elected by a lot of pretend voters. Democrats have to cheat because if they didn't, their candidates would lose.

I wonder if the moderators will yet again try to cut Cruz out of speaking time.

I'd say that was a certainty. Be prepared. It will be all about Trump.

Joni Ernst, wasn’t she supposed to make Washington squeal? I’ll bet her voting record parallels McConnell.

I didn’t think of that. And a primary election has yet to be held, meaning Trump still has many more rallies to go. And considering Trump is holding at least 3 rallies a week, he will blow Romney’s rally count away completely.

It’s definitely Trump’s apples to Romney’s lemmons — er — oranges.

Great point.

CNN dislikes Trump so much they refuse to tout their own poll, showing Trump beating Cruz by 13% points.

Except there are 100s of polls showing Trump winning big time over the rest, but this Bloomberg/Register “somehow” has Iowa 15% to 20% under Trump’s national average, and while a CNN/ORC poll only released a few days ago has Trump 13% over Cruz. And sometimes the biggest crowds month after month this early many months before the primaries really means he is winning.

True enough. But a candidate like Trump winning it will really propel him past the point of no return.

Like he said, he wants to run the table. That starts with Iowa.

I’m not too worried about Iowa.

“But more of his (Trumps) voters are dug in: 45 percent of his supporters say they won’t change their minds. It’s 43 percent for Cruz and 34 percent for Carson.”

We all know Iowa is wacky and “winning” there doesn’t exactly bode well over all. Trump needs to keep Iowa in perspective and focus on building on what he gets out of there. He’s looking good in NH SC and NV. I’m keeping my eye out for shenanigans on super Tuesday.

They get so few and the next couple of months are going to be vary hard for them.

Wake up -- if Trump gets the nom and wins, the next couple of years are going to be very hard for Republicans who thought they were voting for a "conservative."

Cruz has people in every state meeting with voters. This is how to win

Just a question according to Drudge and the poll article...didn’t it say Cruz 31% Trump 21%?
But in the title here it’s 29-21

Trump leads Iowa by 13 in CNN poll. And CNN didn’t call for Trump to drop out of the race

Iowa doesnt matter. Huckabee and Santorum have won the last 2 there. Trump doing that well in Iowa shows he is very strong.

“Just ask some Trump supporter. They always seem to know what Trump meant to say.”

Trump can hold his own. He doesn’t say anything behind closed doors.
