“Christmas Rapping” by The Waitresses. Simply THE most annoying Christmas song of all time...

A couple of my own retch-worthy suggestions: Springsteen's version of Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town, which FReeper Charles Martel told me the other day is like hearing him pass a kidney stone. Little Drummer Boy in ALL its hideous incarnations - just what a newborn really needs just after you get him to sleep, a drum solo. Geesh. But these and a host of other cultural offenses PALE in comparison to Do They Know It's Christmas, a hideous, clumsy, sanctimonious, ham-handed, bathos-impregnated, melodramatic attempt to throw a wet blanket of guilt over the most uplifting holiday season of the year. It really is humbug.
Merry Christmas, all!
“Baby It’s Cold Outside” shows up on every Christmas album because it’s the only “Christmas” song (it’s not really a Christmas song, just talks about cold weather,) that a guy and a girl can sing as a duet. If I were a songwriter, I’d write a good Christmas duet song! The world of Christmas songs needs one.
“Blue Christmas.”
Yeah, that s #1.
Yeah, especially the part when the singing and music just stops for a second (my favorite version - forget who the artist is), and then you hear, "Then He smiled at me...." Gives me chills!
This is the proposed package for this soon to be blockbuster recording:
A sample of Hillaryâs vocal is available here for your listening pleasure:
Hmmm. During my trip it snowed in the hills of Swaziland.
10. ‘I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus’
?? So Rich still hasn’t figgered out “Santa” is really Daddy??
BTW: This is one of my Favorites, quite clever.

I was looking for that to be number one.
Subjective, for rock, ‘rocking around the Christmas tree’ is about my favorite but I do not care for that one McCartney song. To a degree, most of the songs out there have some merit.

I despise Last Christmas. My kids made me a cd with about 10 perversions of it. They tied me to a chair and forced me to listen.
I lead a Trail Life USA troop. The kids sing a song about announcements and my son taught them Last Christmas so they sing that too and scream out SPECIAL at the end.
Little brats.
Btw, I just discovered Dominick the Donkey last year. Bizarre.
Mine is Run, Run, Rudolph. I prefer Keith Richard s version to the Chuck Berry original, but they re both good.
‘All I Want for Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth’
Apparently, the charm of this song is lost on the meathead that wrote this list. I guess he is not old enough to remember when it was released?
Look up the 1959 Marty Gold’s Children’s Chorus recording to hear it at it’s very best!
