Why not pick Jon Huntsman?

Or better yet, Bob Menendez, he’s more conservative.

‘a member of the audience floated the idea of a Trump-Brown ticket in 2016.’

“What was Trump going to say, Hell no? Of course he’s going to nod and wink and play along.

This is the liberal Hill.com stirring up the pot again.”

You’re talking to Cruz supporters. They can’t handle the truth.

So why did he spend $ on politicians like Emanuel?

Sounds to me like Trump was just trying to be polite. What else was he supposed to say, when Brown was present?

This is a non-story.

On the other hand, if Trump was asked on a talk show who he is considering for VP, and he answered Brown, that would tell you something.

"I guess if we're going to take this kind of stuff seriously, then Trump's first choice must be Sen. Cruz, as he did offer the position during the debate."

Totally agree. Trump is unscripted for the most part, and is going to say things every day that will upset some. This election is crucial, and I will vote for whomever is the Republican nominee, as long as the determination of who that is reflects the the will of the voters and doesn't involve RNC shenanigans with a brokered convention - (in which case I fear the election will have been thrown away). That said, I totally understand everyone pulling for their candidate, but I hope we don't pull apart from one another in the process. The democrats are the ones in disarray, and with one candidate potentially facing an indictment, and the other a self-declared socialist. Let's not help them.

‘He’s playing you all like a violin. He was there as a guest of Brown and was being gracious. I never saw so many people get so bent out of shape by something so ridiculous.’

TDS.

... if Brown is supporting Trump, and Brown is pro-choice and a moderate RINO, what does that say about what he sees in Trump? Or, if we are to argue that the host of a fundraiser does not necessarily support the views of a candidate, or expect recompense, can you PLEASE lay off the "Ted Cruz attended fundraisers hosted by gay marriage supporters?" or "Ted Cruz takes donations from the devil (Goldman Sachs)"?

This is the 9th Backyard BBQ Brown has hosted and most of the other Republican candidates have attended, and probably the rest will in the future.

Get a clue. So many words, so little truth.

Should not have been at a rally hosted by Scott Brown, neither should Cruz have been at a rally hosted by faggots.

Why give up the opportunity to reach an audience? Not sure which Cruz appearance you are referring to but I wouldn't have a problem with Cruz speaking there. It's a chance to change minds perhaps.

Actually, you may have hit on what’s really ahead of us. That way, with Trump as Pres. and Jeb! as V.P., both sides of the GOP have a dog in the fight. My concern though, would be Jeb! debating skills. If Paul Ryan can be rolled over by a ‘drunk’ acting Uncle Joe, Jeb would be far easier to control. All the Dem.V.P. candidate must do is tell Jeb “I’m still talking! Be quiet!”, and Jeb will be quiet.

If Trump is the nom, and if he must pick from the RINOs, he would be better off picking Chris Christie who knows how to fight back right then and there. Christie’s energy will match Trumps quite evenly. They are different in charisma and appeal.

Either another business person or a strong, successful, conservative governor...i.e. Gov Susana Martinez of New Mexico?

A female with the conservative cred of Ted Cruz would be pretty awesome, I must admit.

I’ve heard talk that the GOP will be under pressure to have a “diverse” ticket.
Under pressure from whom? Under pressures from liberals and the media, assuming that the Democrats have a woman and/or a minority on their ticket. There’s been talk of HIllary Clinton picking Castro, the HUD Secretary as VP.
In that case, the media will have a mediagasm about the diversity of the Democrat ticket, and contrast that if the GOP has two white men on their ticket.
Not that I am saying the GOP needs to give in to media and liberal demands for diversity. Just saying the issue will come up, if the Democrats have a woman and/or minority member as their ticket.
Now, there are numerous quality minority and women Republicans who could be on the ticket. Gov. Martinez of New Mexico, former Congressman Alan West, just to name two.

I guess, then, that there is NO "diversity" in Japan, for example, since all the law makers, governors, police, writers, instructors...everyone, is JAPANESE.

THAT tired old cliche about diversity applied to COLOR of skin only, NOT to diversity of thought. It was the ANTITHESIS of whats MLK stived for.

I WISH someone would drive that home to the BRAINLESS of this campaign. Having a VP based on color is as RACIST as it gets.

At a rally hosted by Scott Brown, are you expecting Trump to be a total douche and through Brown under the bus? Trump throws a little compliment his way and the TDS Freepers want to come unglued.

Here’s the T-R-U-T-H: A young girl in the audienced asked Trump if she could come up on stage and take a selfie with him. Scott Brown said, no. Probably because he was the host and maybe concerned with security. I don’t know.

Then Trump overrode Brown and let the girl come up on stage and get her selfie. The audience booed Brown for not letting the girl come up on stage. While that was going on, Trump said, Well, if Scott were running for office, he would let her come up. Audience laughter.

Then Trump asked Brown if he was going to be running for office again.

Immediately someone from the audience yelled out, how about as your VP to Trump?

Then, Trump, because he has good manners, said something complimentary, like ‘yeah, yeah, that would be a good idea’ as opposed to saying to the audience member, are you kidding me? why would I ever consider this guy and insult the host of these Backdoor BBQs that all the candidates have attended. And who was showing Trump his hospitality.

And this becomes Trump floating SCott Brown as his VP.

Desperate.

Thanks for your post.

“Trump throws a little compliment his way and the TDS Freepers want to come unglued.”

I seriously have no idea how they got this headline from the actual text either.

See how I manged to phrase that without using personal attacks?

But where's the fun!?

Or, if we are to argue that the host of a fundraiser does not necessarily support the views of a candidate, or expect recompense, can you PLEASE lay off the “Ted Cruz attended fundraisers hosted by gay marriage supporters?”

I haven't said a single word about that topic whatsoever! But now that you mention it: Sure is weird to bash New York values but accept their money, eh?

See how I manged to phrase that without using personal attacks? Try it some time.

As for the meat of your argument: I asked for a link before repeating the claim. However Trump’s comments today raise an interesting question: if Brown is supporting Trump, and Brown is pro-choice and a moderate RINO, what does that say about what he sees in Trump? Or, if we are to argue that the host of a fundraiser does not necessarily support the views of a candidate, or expect recompense, can you PLEASE lay off the “Ted Cruz attended fundraisers hosted by gay marriage supporters?” or “Ted Cruz takes donations from the devil (Goldman Sachs)”?

Get a clue. Brown is doing a bbq for Cruz right after Trump’s.
