This is weird. If I buy a lathe for my business, under most circumstances I most certainly CAN deduct 100% of its cost.

The other issue not being addressed is the likelihood of any given plan getting through congress. It’s a real question that needs to be addressed.

10 YEAR CAPITAL INVESTMENT GROWTH...

the senators pay attention to the details of the tax base, and try to fix incentive problems that the tax base creates. Mr. Trump mostly lowered rates.

America under the Marco Rubio or Ted Cruz tax plan would simply have more lathes and buildings and trucks, and people would be more productive and have higher incomes because of it.

How many times do you guys think you can get away with fooling the people??? Of course there would be Capital Investment Growth under the Cruz plan BUT IT WOULDN'T BE IN THE U.S...It would be in Mexico and China...

Republicans have been playing this game since Reagan's trickle down economics scheme...That's why Trump's plan is far better...He would make it very undesirable for big business to invest in China, and Mexico, and Indonesia and India...

I will admit that if Trump does not include spending cuts then his plan is not that good. However, if he does, which of course this does not calculate in primarily because he hasn’t offered it up, then it could turn out better.

Trump talks about massive spending cuts in all the debates...

It means that if you torture the data long and hard enough, it will eventually confess what you want.

The trick in comparing several plans is to come up with a a fair and FIXED method by which all plans are evaluated the same and the outcomes give you the kind of result you were looking for in a specific plan.

My guess would be is that the same methodology was not used on all three plans or that there are a lot of ‘footnotes’ variances between the three.

I think it’s about the R&D costs of developing and marketing the new and improved lathe.

I imagine the R&D costs in most businesses are pretty high and the costs are not 100% desirable.

The tax code is too Byzantine for me, I know very little of the business side of the thing.
I do know what we have is the result of generations of special interest add ons made by individual trying to get elected or stay in office.

Personally I think we need to tear it up, burn the thing and bury the ashes.
Start fresh with a new tax code written for the 21st century.

I’m puzzled as to why anyone is analyzing these “tax plans,” when none of them has a snowball’s chance of being enacted in law, regardless of the election outcome.

There will be no back of the line for the illegal invaders.
Both Donald Trump and his son have stressed that those wishing to return will have their applications EXPEDITED.

EXPEDITE
To hasten the process of, hasten or assist

To do or process with speed and efficiency

Unimpeded or prompt

From the Latin EXPEDIRE to free the feet, liberate.

From the Free Dictionary Online.

In many cases the illegals won’t even have to leave the country.
The US government could simply set up centers in each large city and call them branches of the Embassy to Mexico.
Those centers could file the forms without inconveniencing the illegal invaders in the slightest bit.

The Art of the Deal you say?
Why certainly!
The deal will be that the Mexican government will allow us to erect a FENCE on OUR side of the border and pay for it ourselves as long as we keep 99.9% of the scum who are already here.

Can ya smelllll what the Donald is cookin?!

Cruz and Rubio have NO IDEA what it takes to generate capital but they DAMN SURE KNOW HOW TO SPEND IT. Bad part of that is it is OUR CAPITAL taken in the form of TAXES. I’m not buying their bull excrement.

“Your tagline is a statement of faith.”

With today’s Republican Party being controlled by big money, EVERY VOTE for a Republican that ‘claims’ to be conservative is a “statement of faith” also.

Just ask Florida Tea Party voters whether they feel double-crossed by Rubio.

None of these plans are worth a bucket of warm spit. They will never be implemented as written. Once they hit Congress, special interests and lobbyists will make them unrecognizable. There will be deals and compromises.

I disagree. Affirmations of the future, such as, “He will ...” regarding any candidate, are different from saying, “I agree with his stated position on (issue).”

While Donald Trump largely opted for big rate reductions across the board, Rubio and Cruz made improvements to the structure of taxes, while cutting taxes by less overall.

That says much more than the title - Trump digs less deep into our pockets and Cruz/Rubio dig deep enough to boost government "income" which makes some of their other numbers look better. Trump creates more jobs and other numbers (wages) would indicate less inflation under his plan.

I guess "better" depends on the point of view of those rating it and their background (much used to "generating" wealth off the People's backs via government "programs".

I guess "better" depends on the point of view of those rating it ...

A tautology, but worth repeating.

I tend to dislike any "plan" that increases government revenue, even as an unintended consequence of economic growth, because government spending always increases faster.

What good is a ‘better’ tax plan when your country is flooded with illegals?
___________________________________________________________

Good point, is it any better when you allow illegals back in after they leave as Trump is proposing, with his touch and go amnesty.

Cruz OTOH is proposing legal immigrations levels tied to the number of unemployed Americans.
