Shame on you, Synthesist, for accusing Doug of not moving on when all he did was to ask that those who want to post an individual opus and then leave, to just say ‘bye on this thread.
That would save bandwith while also having a permanent thread for those who want to look up a FReeper they haven’t seen for a while to see why they left (usually stated in their opus).
Doug was not starting a flame war. In fact, I’ve never seen him engage in one and he is one of the most respected FReepers here, so lay off him.
Doug has been a FReeper almost since FR started, almost a full year before me and that makes him a really, really OLD FReeper like me, lol.

I’m sorry, but I am certain that I did not see Jim encourage FReepers to post a MASTER THREAD for those who decide to bail out of FR just because they cannot support Trump!
My point was that I don’t agree that the plural of “opus” is “opuses.” I think it’s equivalent to “bacteriums” and “phenomenons.”
I will not be part of a flame war on the thread I thought would serve as the place for people to say goodbye rather than posting an original vanity thread that would be deleted. LOL

I only meant to point out that, IMO, Synthesist was rude to you Doug; and because Synthesist hasn’t been here long enough to know that about every 4 years or so, a Master Opus Thread gets posted because of purges of FReepers not respecting the rules during primaries and national elections, or voluntarily leaving because they got their feelings hurt over their guy losing or some other silly reason.
