GOP nominee after victory: I notice no one in the Cruz camp denied Enquirer story about his father
Hotair ^ | 05/04/2016 | AllahPundit

He stood by yesterday’s comments not just in his interview with Stephanopoulos, as you’ll see below, but in the Today show interview that Ed blogged earlier. (Skip to 2:50 of the first clip here.) I don’t know if there’s anything more to say than what Kevin Williamson said to Republican voters last night about the race to come: “Remember, you asked for this.”

I’ll say something. First, Cruz did deny Trump’s insinuation about his dad and Oswald. He called it “nuts.” Second, Trump probably cares less about alienating Cruz and his fan base than about preserving the Enquirer’s reputation as a trash tabloid that nonetheless publishes newsworthy stories from time to time and therefore deserves the benefit of the doubt even on seemingly outlandish claims. No doubt he’s going to use the paper as a pipeline for hit pieces on Hillary. (Team Hillary, if they’re smart, will woo a rival checkout-counter tabloid and use that as a conduit for hit pieces on Trump in order to reach the same audience.)

He could have done that here, though, by praising the Enquirer but also saying that perhaps everyone had been too credulous about the old photo with Oswald and that he’d only mentioned it because he was wounded by what Rafael Cruz had said about him. He complimented Cruz last night in his victory speech as a smart, tough competitor; it’s weird and goofy to go on antagonizing him this morning as the presumptive nominee, knowing that Cruz is one of the few people in the party whose support might make some embittered conservatives reconsider their opposition to him. But we needn’t grasp for strategic explanations. Trump probably refused to apologize because he’s (a) too much of a narcissist to admit wrong, even when he stands to gain by doing so, and (b) a conspiracy theorist by disposition. He might actually believe the Enquirer story. Why would he walk it back?

And in fairness to him, his instinct that he won’t pay any political price for pushing stuff like this may well be right. I already confessed my grievous error this morning in ever believing righties were too smart and principled to buy what Trump is selling. The Lyle Lanley of the GOP knew better. Now he’s doubling down, betting that there’s a deep, hungry market for the Trump monorail among the general electorate too. You’d be a fool to bet against him at this point. Three clips for you then, one of his chat with Stephanopoulos, another from his chat with Hannity yesterday in which he insisted that the Enquirer wouldn’t have published the Oswald photo if they had reason to think they might be sued (which went unchallenged by Hannity, of course), and a third of Jake Tapper deluding himself into believing that Americans would prefer facts when they could have sensational lies instead.

Papa Cruz’s exploits are fair game since he worked on the campaign. One has to wonder about his travelling to Cuba after he left for the US.

This story is false, however Rafael had been photographed with Jack Ruby. Marilyn Monroe was the photographer.

“There is truth I believe to the fact Cruz’s old man knew and associated with Oswald.”
And what leads you to that belief? Was Cruz’s father in New Orleans in August of 1963?

Whomever pulled all the FOIA requests on Rafael Cruz did an awesome job and his timeline is very revealing.

Cruz was in the race to stay the course. His plan was to try and unseat as many Trump-won state delegations as possible. The RNC convention would have been a showdown of lawyers working with the rules committee. It’ likely the police would have been escorting outraged Trump delegates out of Cleveland.

Cruz quit because of his father. The photographic evidence and newspaper clippings on Rafael were leaked April 22. Cruz has never denied that he’s the man photographed or that he was engaged in those activities. Those connections are intertwined with his dad’s flight to Canada, his parents becoming Canadians and his birth as a NBC of Canada.

No jus solis! No jus sanguis!

Research on the Canadian voting process through 1984 indicates unequivocally that both parents had Canadian citizenship and were eligible to vote while Ted was living in Canada.

The question is what evidence does the National Enquirer have?I have a feeling it is face recognition and FIOA material that was not redacted because the people handling it didn’t make the connection. It certainly looks like it could be him. The question for Levin is “What do you do if it is daddy Cruz?

Researchers using FOIA on Rafael Cruz discovered results contradictory to the polished Cruz story fed by the campaign. Having interviewed a few old Cubans who were freedom fighters, Cruz’s past is very troublesome.

Rafael B. Cruz fails to deny that he is the man passing out the pro-communist literature with Oswald.

The Cruz family origins are murky. The Wiki story line doesn’t match his official records. Here are their known records, lots of red flags! Enough for a Communist May Day Parade!

https://www.facebook.com/notes/anna-tomerlin/rafael-edward-ted-cruz-family-timeline/998233746879858

Both Rafaels raise questions that are not easily answered.

A. Who paved Cruz’s way into Princeton & Harvard? Who paid? Without connections it’s very hard to gain acceptance. He did not come from an Ivy prep school. Hispanic foreign Canadian status? Not worth much for a scholarship. He hasn’t whined about paying off student loans. Someone had to help Cruz land SCOTUS clerkships. Has there been an invisible hand behind Ted due to his father’s past connections?... Poppy Bush?

B. Rafael B. Cruz is an interesting character. Cubans his age, express bitter hatred and anger towards Fidel Castro. They have family and friends that Fidel imprisoned, tortured or murdered. Repression and communism destroyed their lives. Castro seized all their assets - homes, property, businesses, banks, cars, and personal wealth. They lost their freedom to speak freely, object, assemble, travel, etc... they lost everything and they will curse Castro as long forever. To them, Fidel = Satan.
Cubans lucky enough to escape Castro, didn’t return. Hola! Rafael went back. Why would Cruz return with all the negative coming from family and friends back home?

1) Cruz’s passage to America is murky. Hola! It only makes sense for a planted pro-Castro guy. Cruz was sent specifically to Texas to live with 5 Cuban communist exile students. 250,000 of his countrymen-exiles went to Florida. Realize if Cruz had been protesting pro-Castro in Miami, he would have been gator meat. Para-military groups were training in the Florida Everglades with plans to overthrow Castro and liberate Cuba. Omega 66 and other factions would have eliminated Cruz rather quickly. That’s why the commie-exiles were planted in Texas rather than Florida.

2) Aliases. Cruz’s explanation for dropping his family name and choosing someone else’s name similar to his is rather uncommon. Hola!

3) How does a foreign teenage kid who speaks no English get immediate acceptance to a Texas University? Hola! Who pays tuition, room & board? He enters at Key West to Texas twice and finds his way to Texas. Someone made lots of arrangements for 17YO Cruz.

4) Cruz spoke no English, stayed one month, went back to Cuba (documented) and missed the first month of school, and then began his first semester. How does Cruz immediately begin University level courses and graduate in four years with a Math & supposedly a Chem. Eng. degree?

5) What happened to Cruz’s family in Cuba- parents, siblings, cousins? Hola! Did any eventually emigrate?

6) The Cuban community sticks together like glue, thousands fled to Florida. A Cuban teenager alone in Texas is quite the anomaly. Five Cuban exiles at UT, they must have been planted together, right there as comrades, for a reason. Rafael is writing articles to the local paper about the need to PUNISH Cuban refugees and deny them rights?? Hola!

7) Canada. There was lots of oil exploration centered right underneath Cruz’s feet, in Texas. Cruz left Texas for some other reason. (Draft evasion + bigamy +/or evading unpleasantries related to whatever he was ACTUALLY doing in Texas and New Orleans. )

8) Did Rafael resume his seismic-computer career in Texas after he sold his company in Canada? Why didn’t he apply his Math degree and Chemical engineering degree in Texas as referred to in the news article? Nice article at the link about his graduate studies in those fields - all BS. His career path since 1974 has been surprising given his education.

After reviewing Cruz’s records, his authenticity and character in regards to his citizenship and status is doubtable and so is Ted’s. Cruz maintained Cuban citizenship for nearly 15 years after leaving his Castro and did not obtain US citizenship until Ted entered politics in 2005. Hola! Why did it take him nearly 50 years after emigrating?

Cruz was a Cuban 30+ years, then Canadian 35+ years, then American for 10 years.

He was a bigamist for 30 years having divorced both wives in the same year 1996. (Garza ‘59-’96 and Ted’s Mum ‘67-’96)

This ole dog don’t hunt..... flimflamflimflamflimflamflimflam

“If Trump claimed to have slept with the Loch Ness monster, the majority of Trumpers would not only believe him, they would rationalize reasons why having sex with an imaginary pre-historic reptilian sea monster was both conservative and presidential.”

where is there a post that shows that nick is crazy. He might not be for Trump but he is certainly more intelligent and well-spoken than quite a few. I am voting for Trump for my own reasons but there is something odd about someone running for president stating this nonsense the day after he clinched the nomination. insulting someone doesn’t make that go away.

Is that Cruz’s dad in the picture, or isn’t it?

I also noticed that no one said it wasn’t.

But whatever.

Yes he was in New Orleans in 1963. That is undisputed. That, and a resemblance, make it something worth looking into, not conclusive. That is all Trump said, no one is bothering to look into it, and he was asking, "Why?"

As someone else said above, it is irrelevant now. No one cares about Rafael Cruz or his prophet progeny.
