I prefer to think of it more that we have jumped into the taxi after a disastrous date, leaving Ms Merkel with the bill.

As much as I love Scotch(!), England would be better off without Scotland.
I don’t think the EU would allow Scotland to join.
I think the EU would now allow Scotland to join.

In other words, Scotland will vote to leave the UK, where they help run the government, and vote to join the EU, where they will have no voice whatsoever.
Can you think of any more gloom and doom?
I never realized that a nation’s choice for liberty and sovereignty and anti-globalism could be so wrong.
So does Venezuela.
As someone who’s maternal great grandmother was from Scotland; I cannot begin to tell you how sad I am that the Scots have become such a nation of freeloading babies.
