Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz has endorsed Hillary Clinton for president.
"Hopefully Hillary Clinton will be elected president," Schultz told CNN's Poppy Harlow in a Facebook Live interview.
Schultz has long been outspoken about his political and social views, but this is the first time he has weighed in on the 2016 presidential race.
Rumors surfaced last year that Schultz himself was considering a campaign for the White House.
He put an end to the speculation with an op-ed in the New York Times last August announcing that he wouldn't run.
Schultz had landed in hot water earlier in the year after he encouraged baristas to talk about race relations with customers and write "race together" on the coffee chain's cups.

Never been there, don’t ever intend to go there.
“It looks like Trump isnt going to get the artsy, fartsy designer coffee crowd. “
Trust me, nobody thinks Starbucks is artsy fartsy designer coffee. They are the Walmart of coffee. They are barely above the 7-11 cup.
Good news! I have a local cafe that gives me a great double-espresso for $3.
Here in West Texas, we’re all in for Trump so any protest signage at the local Starbucks will be superfluous.
The leftist clowns who hang out at Starbucks can't even drink water without feeling guilty!!!!
Anyone here own a non-chain coffee shop? Would be fun to see Trump tweet out he got the endorsement of the “CEO” of small business competitor to Starbucks and it means more to him than the Starbucks CEO.
Eight O’clock is the best!
In other breaking news, the sun rises in the east.
Wooo...Hooo!
Atlantic & Pacific 8-O’Clock
Good stuff and remembrance from my formative years in the 60’s and 70’s.
I miss the local A&P grocery.
Way to alienate half of your customer base.
Anyway, their coffee is too expensive. I never buy it just for that reason.
Geez. How many baristas with worthless degrees and no other future can they possibly employ? When folks run out of jobs, and other peoples’ money runs out, who’s going to buy your overpriced swill?
"Trust me..."
HAHA!!
Well....I disagree. Plenty of people think Starbucks is exactly what you don't think..............
Whoa, whoa, whoa, you mean a company that employs thousands of college graduates with degrees in art, women’s studies or theatre arts endorses her tightness...say it ain’t so...
My Gramma Bertha introduced our family to 8-O’Clock in the late 60’s. Great aroma while brewing!
I have yet to find ^acceptable^ K-Cup representations for my Keurig. Yes, they exist but they aren’t the same from my past. Too sad.
Another reason never to drink their over-priced, over-strong, bitter coffee!
But, he’s probably hoping that, under a Hillary reign, it will be determined that people have a basic human right to have Starbucks coffee, and the rest of us will be buying $5.99 cups of coffee for the “poor people”. (Does Starbucks take EBT cards?)
