Has John Bolton fallen off the planet???

He's asking Exeter if he can trade warp drive technology for the SOS job.

Pretty amazing when Trump has told us, indoctrinated us and educated us that he believes in the element of surprise and he believes the stupidest thing to do, probably in every human endeavor is to tell someone beforehand what you plan to do ...

All of the media INCLUDING FR have speculated ad nauseam about who will fill what slot.

I'll bet there are young girls being raped all over the world by islamists, illegals POURING across our borders (and no one is paying attention to the socialist northern born), dumpsters being filled with shredded paper outside every clinton establishment and public schools STILL making our kids stupid !

Just sayin'

As a 30 year retired Army Vet I must say a Senior Flag Officer that admits to mishandling of classified information is unforgivable show stopper for consideration as SECSTATE.

Besides that, whether many agree with it or not, adultery is still an act that can be prosecuted under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

To me its shocking. I’ve said here before,

completely moronic move, how on earth could he give the job to someone that was convicted of exactly the same thing Hillary should have been, after running a campaign on that very premise?

I can’t believe he would do that, and it actually in my opinion makes even less sense than Romney - and I despise Romney.

The job should be Rudys - it seems he wants it, and he is more than capable and has been the most loyal high profile Republican to Trump.

Should have been done and dusted ages ago.

But as usual it seems the press is being trolled. I don’t see there’s much to be gained from that at this point.

Agree. Rudy looks warmed over.
I’d still like him in the State position for 1-2 years to clean out the trash, then retire.

I just woke up, no coffee yet.

My first thought when seeing this - brilliant chess move by Trump. Wait for the press to all jump on this rumor with shock and consternation about Petraeus mishandling classified info.... or will they just squirm uncomfortably on their couches?

Talk about trolling, somebody is very good at it!

“Rudy is pretty feeble if you’ve seen him lately”

Yeah, I like Rudy, but he’s really bent over now and seems to walk with great difficulty. Many here might not like my saying it, but IMO Trump is very “image conscious”(after all, he did the whole Miss Universe thing for years, and is not shy about speaking about and judging people based on their appearance), and may want to project an image by the sheer personage of his SOS. Romney is a tall, vital older man, which Trump may like. Not saying I agree that should be a significant factor, but Trump is Trump.

Just because someone is ‘meeting’ with Trump why do people think they have a ‘position’...I could meet with Trump, does that mean I would have a ‘position’???

The media are beside themselves, they aren’t being able to pick Trump’s cabinet and they are not being told what is going on...I think it’s about time that the Elected president has his own mind...

Remember on Thanksgiving, New York Times wrote a story about around the Turkey Table, it was a conversation of ‘Rudy or Mitten’....now ask yourself one question, how would they know, I didn’t see pictures of any media whore any where inside, maybe out side but certainly not at the table...so this tells me they either have ‘ESP’ or ‘an alien from outer space came by and told them this’....

I can’t understand why Romney or Petraeus should even be considered. Both have grave defects which cannot be washed away.

You are probably right about Romney not being appointed SOS.

Morning Joe:

Reportedly, one aide to TRUMP is leaking that Trump is “furious” at Kellyanne Conway for boxing in Trump so publically against Romney every day since Thanksgiving morning.

Another aide said that “rather than driving Trump’s message, she’s pushing her own agenda”.

Joe Scarborough said he can report that Conway does not yet have a job in the Trump administration and is angry that she has not been offered the job she wants.

The public lobbying by Giuliani for SOS is thought distasteful and there are some doubts he can get approved by Congress according to some opinions.

Petraeus would be an awkward choice for SOS if prosecuting Hillary is to continue in congressional committees.

Chess is being played everywhere.

He’s Hillary’s chum. I’ve forgotten what book I read it in but it was in one that she and Petreaus met for drinks quite often. I don’t believe it was “Clinton Cash” as it seems it goes back further than that. It was while she was at the State Department and I believe it was after he got in trouble. I wouldn’t trust that pipsqueak as far as I could throw him...pretty poor specimen of a military man with those slumped shoulders and his more recent indiscretions. Trump COULDN’T be considering him.....

You will soon be able to tell if Kellyanne has gone rogue. Though, I doubt it.

Saw a report that he think romney looks the part.

It’s true. He does.

Still don’t want him. He might be the person to be put in charge of the VA.

Also have seen reports that Guiliani may be suffering issues that come with old age...mentally. Comes and goes.

I could see that being true as well.

“”Romney is a tall, vital older man””

And Petreaus is stoop shouldered and yes, Giuliani is hunched over and does appear to have difficulty walking. Didn’t he have cancer a few years ago?

NO on Petreaus....
