As an advisor to Trump on the ME, I would say Petraeus is another Eisenhower. Nothing wrong with that.

there's plenty wrong with that. He's a globalist stooge who advocates for a North American Union and is someone who can't be trusted with classified information. If Trump is serious about draining the swamp Petraeus needs to circle the drain!

“Putin seems to intimidate well enough.”

That’s because he’s basically a Czar. Size doesn’t matter when you are Napoleon, lol. Although it is going to be quite a study in contrasts when you put Putin and Truump side by side in a meeting or behind podiums.

I think Petraeus was set up intentionally years ago .... the real question is whether or not he was compromised. Trump needs the answer to that question.

I’m not a fan of Petraeus. I’ve heard awful things about his personality and how he treated people from friends at the CIA.

I remember an interview with the late author Vince Flynn. He was asked about Petreaus because a character in his last thriller seemed to be based a bit on Petraeus (high-ranking military intelligence officer in Iraq having clandestine affair). Flynn said he had met Petraeus and got a bad vibe from him. He struck Flynn as a "political general" who had an overly developed sense of self-importance.

Petraeus is a nation building NWO globalist neo-con. I cannot name a big victory of his in war. He supports the Palestinians over Israel. He is all in for removing Assad as job one in Syria, wants dire confrontations and no fly zones against the Russians. His wife was appointed by Obama. He settled into a cozy job at Princeton.
To top it off, the jackass endorsed Hillary. He came out against the freedom of a preacher to burn a Koran and said it helped the enemy. He is for gun control and assault rifle laws.
Only a knee jerk military support mentality can make him seem good. I think ill pass on the childlike like of a military base that guys like him envision for the whole nation.

No thanks.

LOL - I agree

he loves to play head games with the press - and everyone else out here who think they have all the facts about ANY of them -

I’m trusting Trump on the choice...

Sad that Kelly Ann, Rudy and Huckabee are speaking out of turn - They could all be valuable - but they are putting themselves outside the circle of loyalty. I doubt Trump will choose people who show they would go rogue at any time -
Trump chooses the best people for whatever job he needs them in - he chooses wisely and the people that work for him do so for years - even decades. but he expects loyalty - as anyone should.

IF you want to disagree -and do so publicly - RESIGN and go to it...

“Is he even a Republican? Seems alot of Generals are Democrats!”

That’s because they are political creatures who curry favor. They love order. They love that their commands must be followed unquestioningly. They dream of all Americans enjoying the childlike life of living on a military base. Guns extremely restricted, rules carefully followed, them having input into every aspect of your life, how many inches tall is the grass in your lawn? That is why modern Generals are typically democrats.

Schwarzkopf was the last true general.

Trump doesn't hire by 'surveys' - which is why he's so successful in finding the best person for the positions in question.

He's done it for years = proven track record. I'm gonna trust him on this until proven wrong...

I would take Petraeus over Romney in a heartbeat.

Word on the web is Petraeus tried to clean up the CIA. Hence, why he got nailed.

Petraeus would be a 100 times better than Mitt Romney.

My guess is that it will be either Giuliani or Petraeus.

Per Roger Stone the Secretary of State should be someone Trump is close to. If that is the case, then it should be Giuliani.

Idiotic and a typical female mentality. Hitler was 5’8”. Stalin 5’5”, Putin is 5’7”, David Ben-Gurion was 5’0”.
My favorite of all, Winston Churchill was 5’6”. Harry Truman was 5’8”.

So what were you saying about intimidation factor again? It only matters if one actually believes the issue could result in a fist fight.

While Romney might look the part, so does Alec Baldwin. The real selection criterion for SOS, "who should be 4th in line to succeed the President"in a Gdo Forbid situation.

MItt Romney is not that guy. Neither is Alec Bsldwin.

Obama and Kerry are both very tall. Tell me more about how people are intimidated by tall people. Both have 8 inches + on half the people they deal with. Chesty Puller was 5’7”, not much intimidated him either.

Those people laugh at them.

If physical attack right then and there is off the table, height does not intimidate anyone with the stones it takes to become a leader or chief diplomat of another nation. You are in chick fantasyland if you think otherwise.

He (Petraeus) is all over wiki leaks emails to his Budd Killery and Podesta.

THIS.

Pence is in charge of the transition. Is Pence getting bad advice? How do they not know that Petraeus is a Dem operative?

Why in the world are they considering traitor Romney? Something isn't adding up.

They do not need to make amends with the Bush clan. Trump has already reached out to Romney publicly. He's done enough.

Romney and the Bush family was more critical of Trump over Obama day in and day out. Romney to this day has never criticized Obama or even the Clintons the way he ruthlessly went after Trump.

Romney and Petraeus didn't even vote for Trump in the general election.

Put Rudy in there and let Rudy make swift strategic change around the world and if Rudy is ready to step down in 2 years, then find a good loyal competent replacement.

Pence needs to step up and keep the voters choice in mind. We want people loyal to putting America first which Rudy Giuliani has done and will continue to do as SoS.
