After a dinner meeting with Donald Trump at Jean-Georges restaurant in New York, Mitt Romney delivered a glowing review of the president-elect’s leadership during the transition.
Mr. Romney, who was invited to the dinner purportedly for a follow-up interview for the job of secretary of state, described it as a “wonderful evening” and said that he was “impressed” with Mr. Trump’s handling of his upset victory in the election.
“We had another discussion about affairs throughout the world and these discussions I’ve had with him have been enlightening, and interesting, and engaging,” Mr. Romney, the 2012 Republican presidential nominee, told reporters outside the restaurant.
Mr. Romney said that from what he’s seen of Mr. Trump’s leadership during the transition, he was optimistic that “America’s best days are ahead of us.

Yeah—I had such hopes about Romney when I worked for his election to guv within the MA GOP.
He’s a slimeball extraordinaire—even though he often has his minions do his dirty work.
And forget the ideas about his Bain experience making him a good manager—he ran a bad presidential campaign in what was his fourth heavily funded campaign for public office. (And he only won on one of four tries—for governor against an even worse Democrat candidate.)
All he needs is a bicycle and a white shirt.
I trust Trump's judgement.
This is not going to look well with Americans against the establishment....
And. Bush didn’t continue Reaganism after. He was the compromise to satisfy the party, not the people.
WE got Trump in office. Selecting mitt would be as insult to every one of us.
Maybe they are both on their knees begging Trump not to kneecap them both.
How about Romney as US Trade Representative? It will give Romney a chance to prove himself as useful to America. He can start by eliminating the trade deficit asap.
