I once thought of Preibus as a major RINO and endangerment to reform in the GOP.

I had no reason to form that opinion, but I formed it nonetheless.

I changed my mind watching his interviews and how he actually did what he said he would during the nomination campaign. He made it clear he was only interested in following the will of the GOP primary voters, and once Trump got close to the required delegates did nothing to obstruct, and everything right to help complete the nomination process for Trump. He fought the nevertrumpers, the RINOS and the conservative supporters of Cruz to make certain it turned out right. He clearly liked Trump fairly early on, and has been a true warrior for him.

Because of what I saw and heard, I have tended to defend him to others, and will do so until there is actual evidence that he is pushing against the Trump agenda.

Official R?

Does that make him an unofficial ‘Rat?

You forgot one...11) All Legislators are required to be enrolled in any form of healthcare legislation that is made law.

I think my plan addresses that - every aspect of federal involvement eliminated, right down to income tax credits and union subsidies.

I’m not sure if it answers your question but the reason I didn’t address federal veterans health plans is because certain benefits are :

” a property interest protected by the Due Process Clause of the Fifth Amendment to the United States Constitution. “ Cushman 576 F.3d at 1296.

http://scholarship.law.uc.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1097&context=uclr

from the footnotes: Id.; see also Walters v. Nat‘l Ass‘n of Radiation Survivors, 473 U.S. 305, 320 n.8 (1985). (noting that the Supreme Court had left unresolved whether applicants for government benefits have a property interest under the Due Process Clause). 82. Cleveland Bd. of Educ. v. Loudermill, 470 U.S. 532, 541 (1985); see also Cushman, 576 F.3d at 1296 (To raise a due process question, the claimant must demonstrate a property interest entitled to such protection.).

I sure liked it!

Really great read, lots of good info about both campaigns. I found the biographical info about President Trump to be especially good. The author goes further than Art of the Deal does.

And there’s a great walk down memory lane, reliving all of the many, many Clinton scandals.

How can Ryan ever be trusted? Mrs Weasel is a multimillionaire Democrat Hillary supporter.

Enough said.

My opinions are formed over time, and sometimes deep in, I can’t remember how I go there. And so it is with Ryan, a man I have come not to have any trust in.

Now it is possible I developed my position based on selective things I heard that didn’t give the completely accurate story. It may also be that he did sign on to the movement and altered his ways.

I’m not rock solid he’s against Trump, but I am troubled by the idea Trump signed on to Ryan’s flawed plan, and who may have encouraged him to do so.

I’m willing to reserve final determination on Priebus.

Missing the point. Where is the constitutional authority that empowers the federal government to mandate, regulate, control or otherwise enact anything at all related to health care or insurance matters to insurance companies, the states or the people?

There is no such authority. It’s not an enumerated power and it’s not delegated by the constitution to the federal government, therefore it is reserved to the states and the people per the tenth amendment. Period, end of story.

The same constitutional arguments we used against Obama and the democrats apply equally to Trump and the GOP. Federal involvement in health care or health care insurance or welfare or charity is unconstitutional!

Refer to James Madison & Co.

Good point. If you ever see clear evidence he did so, feel free to ping me.

Perceptive article.

Almost immediately after the 2012 loss, Ryan began to lose the facade and show how compromising a RINO he really can be.

Ryan did not “surrender” anything. He is an employee of the Chamber of Commerce as are most of the rest of the members of the US Congress. Tom Donohue is his supervisor. Ryan offered what his employer desired. It is a compromise on the part of the Company because they don’t believe they can actually get Single Payer just yet. They feel they will have to wait a few months for that.

They will join the MAGA train only if the Trump team will offer them lifetime incomes to match the deal they get from the Chamber of Commerce.

Did Dave Brat not vote for Ryan to be Speaker? If he can do that then he has no further use to America because he has accepted the lobbyist cheese.
