My, my now it turns out that the DNC never allowed the FBI to view its servers to verify the information developed by CrowdStrike, its contractor, that "proved" the Russians "hacked" into its computers. Not only that, but CrowdStrike's procedures have been substantially discredited and the "evidence" of Russian hacking appeared to be quite crude.

Add to this the facts that: (1) John Brennan of the CIA was desperately trying to find a rationale for surveillance of the Trump campaign and (2) the CIA had a piece of software it used to mimic Russian hacking, and it becomes clear what really happened. The DNC was being hurt by the leaks that were being published by Wikileaks and desperately wanted to blame somebody, particularly the Trump campaign. They decided the way to do it was to blame the Russians and charge collusion between them and the Trump campaign. Brennan then came up with and planted fake evidence of Russian "hacking" on the DNC computers, "evidence" that CrowdStrike, the DNC's house "expert," then conveniently found and gave to the FBI, that the DNC repeatedly prohibited from accessing the DNC computers to verify CrowdStrike's findings.

Russiagate is nothing but a giant hoax, just like Rathergate that was used against GWB and the fake midnight SR-71 mission to Iran that GHWB never flew at the end of the 190 campaign.

“Russiagate is nothing but a giant hoax”

Yep. Where is the evidence?

It appears the DNC and their minions are the “Russians”.

What I find most fascinating is the lack of rationale with regard to any external involvement, alleged or actual. What would be the motivation for the Russian government to want The Donald in office? HRC would have been a far better POTUS from the Russian perspective as they have proven time and time again to be able to manipulate her with $. The Donald, though admiring of Putin’s patriotism and love for his country, is the greatest obstacle to any Russian expansionism. Putin simply would not want The Donald if his aims were world domination.

The Democratic strategy since the election has been “Concentrate on those bad Russian bears, ignore Obama his commissars and their crimes. Putin is the enemy!”

The Russian story has been obvious fake news from the very beginning. Months later all they have is: “We’re at the beginning stages of the investigation”. It’s 100% fraudulent. If anyone watched the White House Briefing yesterday you’ll see that the Russian questions died down because it was a way for Sean to turn it into a Susan Rice answer. This stuff is a joke and may prove to be the ultimate unraveling of the country if Republicans and Trump haters don’t smarten up.

so Ray76 has posted connections linking crowdstrike & evelyn farkas to the Atlantic Council.

your post indicates brennan “was desparately trying to find a rationaled for surveillance of the trump campaign and (2) the CIA had a piece of software it used to mimic Russian hacking”

it’s been published that rice distributed information she harvested to brennan.

have you seen any documentation that susan rice may be connected to the Atlantic Council?

"The DNC was being hurt by the leaks that were being published by Wikileaks and desperately wanted to blame somebody, particularly the Trump campaign. They decided the way to do it was to blame the Russians and charge collusion between them and the Trump campaign."

If it ever comes out that the above is true (and probably won't even if it is), this would be risking war with a nuclear power for the sole purpose of partisan politics.

My question is... WTF is the CIA doing targeting ANYTHING inside the US? Are they not barred from operating inside US borders?

Adding my two cents to what everyone else might also be thinking:

1. First narrative, the "because the Russians," Flynn was recorded while talking with the Russian Ambassador. American Citizens sometimes get recorded while some other person was targeted, however the U.S. citizen's identities must remain hidden. Flynn's identity became known.

2. It wasn't necessary to target Trump or his family or associates. All that was necessary was to target people Trump or family or associates were likely to call and intercept their communications that way. In this narrative though, there are no "Russians" and no suggestion of illegality.

3. The picture that is emerging is that no illegal activities alleged, and that Trump, his family, and associates were flat out targeted for surveillance and intelligence gathering, with the intent to distribute what was gathered to other agencies, and with the intent to leak the information to the press. Again, these people may have been targeted simply because of who they were, and not because they did anything illegal.

4. I think the first crack in the dam was Evelyn Farkas. She blathered on about intelligence and didn't have the smarts to suggest "The Russians."

Inquiring minds want to know if the other candidates were also surveilled and intercepted. We want to know if in truth, "Elections have consequences." If people committed major crimes, and are not prosecuted, this demonstrates that the laws are indeed for the little people, and that if you are connected enough, they'll yell at you, but that's about it.

I cannot give legal advice, but to SusiQ I will give friendly suggestions.

Shut up.
Lawyer up.
Hole up.

And if Russians - or whomever - did maliciously access the server and released the contents, so what?
Yeah, that’s illegal, prosecute as appropriate using evidence meaningful in court against actors subject to our jurisdiction. If foreign sovereigns were involved, that’s what diplomats are for. So far, sounds like there’s no such evidence other than the simple fact that the contents _were_ accessed and _were_ released, and the DNC does _not_ deny the raging embarrassments therein.

Still no Trump connection.
Still the consequence of using the equivalent of a hairpin to secure the server.
Still equivalent to what we used to laud as “investigative journalism”: a secret source acquires private documents, and gives them to a reporter for publication.
Still no actual _secrets_ (in a federal law kinda way), just embarrassing messages pursuant to normal politics.

There’s nothing _actionable_ here, even if for sake of argument we accept everything the Left accuses.

Former President Barack Obama’s national security adviser Susan Rice ordered U.S. spy agencies to produce “detailed spreadsheets” of legal phone calls involving Donald Trump and his aides when he was running for president, according to former U.S. Attorney Joseph diGenova.

“What was produced by the intelligence community at the request of Ms. Rice were detailed spreadsheets of intercepted phone calls with unmasked Trump associates in perfectly legal conversations with individuals,” diGenova told The Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group Monday.

Overheard - Conversations - Activity - Anybody - Trump
“The overheard conversations involved no illegal activity by anybody of the Trump associates, or anyone they were speaking with,” diGenova said. “In short, the only apparent illegal activity was the unmasking of the people in the calls.”

Other knowledgeable official sources with direct knowledge and who requested anonymity confirmed to TheDCNF diGenova’s description of surveillance reports Rice ordered one year before the 2016 presidential election.

Monday - Fox - News - Bloomberg - News
Also on Monday, Fox News and Bloomberg News, citing multiple sources reported that Rice had requested the intelligence information that was produced in a highly organized operation. Fox said the unmasked names of Trump aides were given to officials at the National Security Council (NSC), the Department of Defense, James Clapper, President Obama’s Director of National Intelligence, and John Brennan, Obama’s CIA Director.

Joining Rice in the alleged White House operations was her deputy Ben Rhodes, according to Fox.

Critics of the atmosphere prevailing throughout the Obama administration’s last year in office point to former Obama Deputy Defense Secretary Evelyn Farkas who admitted in a March 2 television interview on MSNBC that she “was urging my former colleagues,” to “get as much information as you can, get as much intelligence as you can, before President Obama leaves the administration.”

Farkas sought to walk back her comments in the weeks following: “I didn’t give anybody anything except advice.”

With all we’ve read recently from wikileaks about our intelligence agencies being able to hack and make it look like some foreign country was behind it whos’ to say it wasn’t one of our agencies who hacked the DNC and made it look like Russia?

And in true Washington weasel wording, and Clintonian parsing Comey could with a straight face say there is evidence of Russian hacking......

Not that its fake , and planted, just that as I look at it, it looks Russian.....
