Republicans invoked the "nuclear option" in the Senate Thursday, unilaterally rewriting the chamber's rules

Fake news again. It was not unilateral nor was it even a republican plan when first proposed.

Reid enabled the process and the dims intended to do the same thing because they were sure the hildabeast would win the election and the republicans would fillibuster a court nominee.

The Republicans used reid's rule change against the dims.

The Republicans were practically begging the dems not to do this. This is so dumb on the dems part. Letting Gorsich get approved without a filibuster would've given them some leverage next nomination.

Actually, I'm not sure this is good. A real lot of Republicans in DC are phonies. Now they'll be able to reach 50 without depending on conservatives. We have to hope that Trump stays firm if anyone else comes up, he chooses a pro-Constitution conservative.
