Eric Trump Says Syria Strike Was Swayed By ‘Heartbroken’ Ivanka
NBC ^ | 4-11-17 | Alexander Smith

Donald Trump's decision to bomb Syria was influenced by his daughter, Ivanka, being "heartbroken and outraged" at the country's alleged chemical weapons attack, one of the president's sons told a British newspaper.

The president launched 59 cruise missiles at a Syrian government air base he alleged was involved in a chemical weapons attack that killed dozens of civilians last week.

Trump's 33-year-old son, Eric, told The Daily Telegraph on Monday that the strike was influenced in part by Ivanka, who he said was "heartbroken and outraged" by the chemical attack.

Yeah right, just like she changed his mind on Climate Change. Trump wont stand for WMD in bad hands. Just watch.

Good luck with that.

She’d have to. But I don’t think she’d win even the nomination.

It’s true. He did sound upset. He probably saw much more than the general public saw.

I did and I figured it out after I posted to you.

I've had it in low gear for the past week or so and the "Brad Trump" thing made me think that I'd REALLY missed something.

You mean bad hands like China, Russia, Pakistan? So you mean WW3 or do you just mean tiny weak countries?

Trump made a campaign promise about DACA. He reneged.

He doesn’t have to rely on Congress to keep that promise

So, I don’t care what anyone else thinks. You want to put blind trust that he will do it that is your business.

He now has to prove to me he will do it because he already reneged.

And one more point about my “BING CROSBY PORN STORY”

If anyone would actually pay attention to that story and everything that happened with Sukarno..you might begin to understand that dossier on Trump and why someone in the DEEP STATE intelligence network might have been behind it to take down Trump

It’s in their playbook.

Why do you keep pretending that the CIA didn’t use Bing Crosby to take out Sukarno?

It makes you look like you don’t have a clue as to how the CIA operates.

“President Trump is grooming her to be the first female president.”

I think you’re right. Maybe Jared, as well. Wouldn’t surprise me at all if Trump is trying to build a new political dynasty.

“Trump made a campaign promise about DACA. He reneged”

He has done no such thing except to say he is still working on what/how he wants to end it. I’d rather him take the time to think it through than rush and make the whole situation worse.

As usual you present fallacies to justify your dislike of President Trump. I seriously doubt you ever really supported him.

Thanks. It’s posts like this that make this site worth reading.

I’m still “evolving” myself, but here’s some thoughts I have as of now:

On the balance, I’m inclined to think it was a good move. Trump has relegated all suggestion he’s a Moscow stooge to the backwaters of the Internet where conspiracy theories go to die a slow death. He’s also sent a strong message that chemical weapons use (and thus by extension all WMD’s like nukes) won’t be tolerated. NK got the message as well as Iran.

Also, for good or worse he’s taken talk of the failed Obamacare repeal/replace off the headlines, and also last week secured Gorsuch to the SC (one of the main reasons I voted for him).

Finally, even if his daughter “partly influenced” his decision to me at worse that only shows he’s a human being able to be influnced in a human way (what father wouldn’t be at least party influenced by a daughter?). I think it’s good if one of the reasons he did it was he was reminded of the human element in all this. I don’t want a president who acts inhumanly, turning a cold shoulder to even his daughter when she only says to him “look at how many children suffered”.

A president that wouldn’t be moved at all by such a situation wouldn’t be a good president at all.

I think some are making too much of this. But again, my position is evolving.

“As usual you present fallacies to justify your dislike of President Trump. I seriously doubt you ever really supported him.”

You are wrong. And there are 100s of posts last year to show it.

Btw, I am pretty sure you are wrong about Trump saying he will repeal DACA Day 1..and thus he reneged.

But frankly, this thread is derailing my attempts to make money today and I am already behind the curve because I didn’t go long gold yesterday for this huge run up.

So tell me again another time that trump didn’t promise to repeal on Day 1 and I will prove you are wrong..or say I am wrong.

>> Ivanka and Jared are very bad news! I didn’t vote for your Nancy Boy Son-in-Law, or Liberal Daughter President Trump! Trust me, every staff member of Trump’s will expendable, save Ivanka and Jared! This is only going to get worse! <<

Hmmm. During the primaries, the Trumpies continually argued we'd get Ted Cruz as veep or for the Supreme Court, and he'd be directly in charge of making policy for the Trump administration.

Cruz supporters, meanwhile, argued Trump would't put Cruz anywhere near the Supreme Court or Vice Presidency, and that instead, Trump's spoiled liberal kids would be influencing him and making foreign policy.

Damn those LYING Cruzers!

They always go down that road of claiming you don’t support the President once they realize they are supporting Lindsey Graham’s foreign policy. They have no answer for it.

President Trump in truth did not repeal DACA on day one. That is not proof he will never repeal DACA as you claim.

>Btw, I am pretty sure you are wrong about Trump saying he will repeal DACA Day 1..and thus he reneged.

Trump looked at the political attacks the Dems had lined up on DACA, which is the only popular part of illegal immigration and decided to wait for the supreme court to outlaw it in a few months. Sound move by Trump.

Trump’s done more to roll back illegal immigration than any president since Ike and all you can do is whine that one part isn’t fast enough.

Is it unacceptable to criticize a Trump decision? Nobody gets them all right.

Trump can still make a lot of bad decisions in the future but he will still be so much better than Hillary or Jeb would have been. Just his one Supreme Court selection and beating Hillary Clinton makes him a successful president in my view. He is working on the wall as well. I don’t think it is possible that he can damage the Republican brand any more than Paul Ryan has.
