Donald Trump's decision to bomb Syria was influenced by his daughter, Ivanka, being "heartbroken and outraged" at the country's alleged chemical weapons attack, one of the president's sons told a British newspaper.
The president launched 59 cruise missiles at a Syrian government air base he alleged was involved in a chemical weapons attack that killed dozens of civilians last week.
Trump's 33-year-old son, Eric, told The Daily Telegraph on Monday that the strike was influenced in part by Ivanka, who he said was "heartbroken and outraged" by the chemical attack.

NBC news, enough said.
I second the motion.
There’s no crying in baseball.
What slander? Ivanka is bigtime pro choice is she not?
Silence means consent so if Eric allows this to stand it is probably true.

I believe she is now discussing the issue with Chelsea Clinton. A joint position paper will be issued shortly.
Eric and the Trumps are not dummies. I doubt that him saying this to The Daily Telegraph was accidental or a slip of the tongue.

Oh goody; we now get to hear all about Trump’s brilliance and 3-D Chess.
Ivanka and Jared are very bad news! I didn’t vote for your Nancy Boy Son-in-Law, or Liberal Daughter President Trump!
Trust me, every staff member of Trump’s will expendable, save Ivanka and Jared!
This is only going to get worse!
I’m Fu*king sick of American political dynasties!
You assert that - prove it.
“I didnt vote for Ivanka.”
Did you mind when Ivanak was advising her dad during the campaigns. You remember those I hope. When Trump with Ivanka, Bannon & others were advising & Trump defeated the GOPe, Soros & Co, candles & the rest of the Swamp?
“The President shouldnt be making decisions based on emotionalism.”
None of us know that President Trump made any decision based on emotionalism. Our enemies would like for us to believe he did since all this BS being spewed lately is all about creating divisions among President Trump’s supporters.
I agree. On the campaign trail, he promised his family would not be involved in his administration. An important promise broken, sadly. I really like President Trump a lot, but having Jared and Ivanka around as essentially co-presidents is a huge mistake. If there is, indeed, infighting in the administration, this is the reason why. What accomplished person who gives up a lucrative private life to serve the nation and a president wants daddy’s girl and her hubby looking over their shoulders or worse, calling the shots?
I prefer his sons roaming the West wing and not Ivanka/Jared- both are very handsome and better suited as the fashion police.
I believe the Syrian action may have some merits and chemical weapons must be stopped however, will IVANKA feel bad for the DACA brats that get better college tuition rates than citizen kids all the while using another American citizens social security number? perhaps a gang member? who just against his will was dragged across the border by his IA parents.
How will she call this to her father?
Oh good God, do you actually believe this tripe? No more afternoon soaps for you.
Everybody who wants to #FireKushner needs to remember this, second only to #TRUMP, Jared was the most valuable person in the campaign! #MAGA pic.twitter.com/01ngwgX5il— Trump Super PAC 🇺🇸 (@TrumpSuperPAC) April 8, 2017
“Lets see how Eric Disavows it now that people here will be saying we are now vindicated.”
Based on a NBC news report based on another report from a suspect source? Sheesh. That’s not evidence he said anything of the sort. Never saw so many people willing to believe the worst of President Trump & his advisors based on “reports’ put out by the Opposition Media.
The bottom line question isn’t what Ivanka thought. It’s whether or not it was the right thing to do. If the Assad Administration with or without Russia’s complicity, launched the CW attack (and I believe they did), then retaliating was the right thing to do.
He may try to walk it back after seeing what happens after shooting off his mouth about this.
Of course , if he doesn’t walk it back..I guess the next excuse from people here will be that yeah Eric said it but he wouldn’t know if it is true.
If this is true then President Trump ought to resign.
...
Pay close attention to the words “influenced in part” in Eric’s quote. They have a very different meaning than the words in the title.
