I’ve done pickup. Good experience on all occasions.

I have also done pickups at a Walmart. Pretty easy, and now a discount?

I'll take it!

That’s smart, they’ve needed something bold to slow the Amazon juggernaut.

I did my 1st “pick-up” at a WM a few weeks ago....saved me from having to find it myself in a giant supercenter! (i.e. small cell phone toolkit, is it in electronics or hardware??)

Geez, and I just spent a hundred bucks at Walmart on line for materials to hook up a TV antenna - well, I did get free shipping, so.....

I’ve used that, ‘order on-line, pick-up in store’ for a microwave for my Dad. Worked just fine. I’ll use the service again with a discount...You Betcha!

Does this apply storewide and including grocery items or is it limited in some way?
I know the article mentions 10,000 or some number like that.

This is what healthy free-market competition looks like.

The one time I tried it, the first 3 or 4 clerks in the store didn’t know where the pickup counter was, and when I finally found it, there was no one working there...

Amazon does delivery to your door. If you are just looking for a place for pet food try looking at Chewy they deliver to your door too. https://www.chewy.com/b/food-332

Just don’t look for fresh food, you still have to go to the store for that, but canned, boxed is doable if you want all name brands. I buy a lot of Kroger brands, especially coffee and pasta sauce, it’s better than Ragu.

For new mom’s you can order large boxes of diapers and wipes at a reasonable cost. 168 new born is less than $44 and if you have Prime which is $99 a year shipping is free. And don’t want to get a Costco or Sam’s Club because you don’t buy bulk canned goods; I know it says Smile, it’s my chosen charity to St. Jude’s Children’s Cancer Hospital when I Amazon shop, every dime helps a child with cancer no matter how small that is: https://smile.amazon.com/Huggies-Little-Snugglers-Diapers-Count/dp/B002YD8DNW/ref=sr_1_11_s_it?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1492085015&sr=1-11&keywords=huggy+diapers

Over 700 wipes to the box https://smile.amazon.com/Huggies-Natural-Care-Baby-Wipes/dp/B00176R2IO/ref=sr_1_3_s_it?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1492085406&sr=1-3&keywords=huggy+wipes
