Senate returns more pessimistic than ever on healthcare

Senators went into a recess skeptical over whether they could agree to legislation repealing and replacing ObamaCare.

They will return on Monday more doubtful than ever.

Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.), one of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-Ky.) most loyal allies, said Thursday that it’s “unlikely” the GOP will get a healthcare deal.

“I don’t see a comprehensive healthcare plan this year,” he told a local news station.

Senate Republicans hoped to have a draft bill this week, but it now looks like there will at best be an outline.

What’s so hard. Just announce that as of June 30 2017, there will be no payments to medical facilities. Participants will be reimbursed for whatever monies they are owed.

It fails because no Dem will vote for the required overhaul.

They don't need the Democrats. They can pass it with Republicans only...except they don't have the 50 votes it would take.

“I’ll vote straight D.”

Knowing what you and I both know about present day Democrats, that act, idea, or action, could be considered Treason. Not that your one vote is going to precipitate the “collapse”, but you really should have more concern for your fellow man that will have to endure another time period like the one we miraculously escaped from on January 20th if everyone pursued your possible course of action.

Why not withhold your vote at least you would not be doubling down on actions not in the Nation’s best interest.

They will pay a steep price in the 2018 elections if they don't get this done

Unfortunately, so will President Trump (with a Left-controlled Senate ... if not a Left-controlled House as well!

Let’s see now....the Repubs join the Dems in failing to support President Trump and the American People in:
.1. the Wall
.2. immigration restrictions
.3. illegals law enforcement
.4. tax reductions
.5. getting rid of ObamaCr*pCare

And yet they phone and mail me for money to “support President Trump”...despite, at best being a group of “do nothings” and at worst, a bunch of McCains.

Nice, sure makes me want to vote the “incubants” ticket.

Stinking snakes need to be removed from office - every last one.

Vote their sorry butts out in the primaries. We need a clean sweep of these parasites and Democrat enablers.

My reasons are way too complicated to go into here. But to be fair, I don’t know if I could actually do it. It will be a test of my courage- if it comes to that.

R E P U B L I C A N

Spent my while life thinking the name Republican stood for something. Boy was I wrong.

Well..., okay..., it does, but it stands for something diametrically opposed to what I support, and thought they did.

N A C I L B U P E R

Since they are 180 degrees off what I thought they were, their name must actually be Nacilbuper when spelled forwards. We’ve been reading it backwards for all these years.

When Trump chose to run, he registered as a Republican (perhaps already was), but he’s not one of them anymore than we are.

The Republican party never really existed, and the Nacilbuper party is dead.

I’m so sick of these turncoats.

I will use a story from the bible to sort of explain my position.

God set up Israel with Judges, but they wanted Kings. God, in essence, said, fine, you want Kings, let me know how that works out for you.

My attitude here is along the same lines. In a democracy you not only get the government you want, but the government you deserve. So, the majority of the US elects bufoons. Fine. Let me help them out. and let me know how that works for you...

The Pubs in the Senate just don’t get it. They will pay a steep price in the 2018 elections if they don’t get this done.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I hope the steep price is successful primary challenges to the
RINOs by conservatives who can win and move the President’s
agenda forward.
T should be very vocal about who is thwarting his agenda.
Following the ratification of that seventeenth progressive POS amendment to the Constitution the Senate has been turned into Glorified Representatives from the Founders vision of Protectors of States Rights. Thus from their high and exalted position in Government they are free to play whatever games it takes to preserve their kingly fiefdom.
It only takes one sentence:
“The Affordable Health Care Act is repealed in its entirety.”
All major healthcare proposals seem to be focused on the payment side. There is no payment plan on which the math works, and which is politically possible.
How many in the Senate realize that the COST side must be addressed first?
How many in the Senate are interested in addressing some, or all, of the cost reduction opportunities?
Which cost reduction opportunities could conceivably be passed after compromises and tradeoffs?
Why are Price, Verma, etal moving so slowly on the cost reductions that they can do with no Congressional action?
Mo Brooks was sponsoring a bill that looked very similar to this, and the House GOPe weasel leadership did nothing with it.
Mitch “The Turtle” McConnell hasn’t done squatt since the Inauguration. If he isn’t replaced pronto, he can forget about having a majority after the 2018 elections.
