Former FBI Director James Comey said that Attorney General Loretta Lynch's handling of the investigation into Hillary Clinton's email server gave him a "queasy feeling."
Testifying before the Senate intelligence committee for the first time since he was fired by President Trump, Comey said that Lynch directed him not to describe the FBI inquiry as an "investigation," calling it one of the bricks in the load that led to his public statement.
At one point the attorney general had directed me not to call it an investigation, but instead to call it a matter, which confused me and concerned me, Comey said Thursday. He later testified that the directive gave him a queasy feeling.
He said he did not know whether or not it was intentional, but Lynchs suggestion that the investigation be called a matter suggested to him that the attorney general was trying to align how we describe our work with the Clinton campaigns rhetoric.

Prosecute Comey for leaking documents.
He admitted the whole Russian collusion thing was false, so everything he did was based on a non case.
His comment that Trump lied about the FBI being in disarray, well it was. I think it still is. You have a political hack leader who has two different standards for who he is pursuing, who interviewed the Orlando killer, who dropped the ball on San Bernardino, and spent too much time chasing Trump on a non case.
Look at it, his testimony was factually wrong, and so his professed motives do no comport with the facts. Comey is a liar.
He also put Lockheed into the CLinton Fund
Pardoned Whitewater.
Said Clinton was innocent on selling a pardon to Marc Rich.
Said Clinton was innocent in the New Square pardon for votes.
He was in the tank. Not a quality person.
His speech in July, was to defray the anger of FBI agents. Trump should start bringing them in and interviewing them to find what really happened. Hillary committed gross crimes and her case was deliberately blown, because Comey had been pardoning the Clintons for years.
He’s a multi-millionaire as a result of being a puppet.
IOW, Of no use whatsoever as testimony to questions asked. Now if a senate hearing is the forum for marriage counseling and group therapy, that’s ok but awfully wasteful of the people’s time and money.
I find it odd that he would implement a suggestion from Lynch, but fail to comply with what he thought was an order from the commander in chief.
If he talks long enough, Comey will say everyone gives him a “feeling”.
Dancing well on the strings makes a comfortable life.
We won’t get anything useful out of the Republicans. I hope that Mr. Trump is wiling to actually clean this house and put a whole bunch of these miscreants in jail. The crimes are there, numerous, serious, and provable.
Remaining silent probably was not an option. He is under the Clinton gun here, literally.
Comey is such a whiny, snively little ________
Response to “Evidence for Trump’s Impeachment” claims:
I’ll take mayo on that Nothingburger. Hold the pickles and sour grapes.
The last line of the article reads: We had investigated very, very thoroughly. I know this is a subject of passionate disagreement. But I knew there was no case there. Calling for the appointment of special counsel would be brutally unfair and would send the message theres something there, Comey said.
And yet, on the same day of testimony Comey states that he had his Trump memo leaked because he wanted a special counsel to be appointed in the Russian collusion investigation.
The logical conclusion, putting the two statements together: Comey is saying that “there’s something there” when it comes to the collusion investigation.
It will be interesting to see how that holds up under further scrutiny.
In Classic Drama Queen Falsetto:
“Feelings
Nothing more than feelings,
Trying to forget my feelings..........
Teardrops,
Rolling down on, my face
Trying to forget my, feelings......
Feelings,
Wo-o-o feelings
Wo-o-o feelings
Again in my heart.....”
Comey, the sissyboy 6’8” drama queen. The Gong Show is back. Please, somebody hit the gong, make him stop singing.
From yesterday’s performance, and rereading HarleyLady’s compleat appendium of Comey’s work history, a picture of Comey is developing as the man behind the curtain. He may be the leader of the dem. crime families vs. the man doing their bidding. Otherwise, his performance showed a man equally stupid and psychotic—but he is neither.
Queasy?
Too bad he didn’t Projectile Vomit on her.
I voted for Bob Barr, and happily, to avoid the McCain-Palin ticket. I rebelled a little early against the Republican fixed game ticket. Loathed McCain. *spit* Resented Palin running with the traitor. *spit*
I really liked Bob Barr. Met him at the 2000 national convention in Philadelphia. He was a courageous sort.
McCain’s loss, and Romney’s, may well have brought us Trump. We were desperately in need of a giant among men and we recognized him when he arrived on the scene.
Trump needs to start calling it the “Russia Matter” with hand quotes to expose the hypocrisy of the Comey/Lynch collusion with Hillary.
Wish I knew how to get this idea in to the Trump circle
“He wants to, oh, so regrettably, have to call for impeachment.”
With a heavy heart....
Sounds like a little boy describing a stay at MJ's Neverland.
<< “With a heavy heart...” >>
Priceless.
Also, I think I am the only one who easily followed McCain’s line of questioning yesterday. LOL!
I got it, I liked it and thought it spot on. Clearly, it wasn’t at the level of Rubio’s home run, but McCain did fine painting the Double Standard of Comey and feigning bewilderment that if the Russia thing was a “ big deal”, as Comey was quoted, then why was only Trump’s campaign under surveillance.
The RNC was not phished, or “hacked”.
The RNC was cooperative with the FBI investigation of Russian interference on RNC equipment.
The RNC was deemed safe.
The Trump Campaign website was neither phished nor hacked.
The DNC was “hacked”.
Curly head Schultz, at the DNC, covered up the jihadi brothers and their family working as computer staffers all over Congress.
The Clinton Campaign was phished.
The Clinton Campaign was warned by the FBI.
The Clinton Campaign was allowed to REJECT the FBI warning and offer to evaluate the danger to their operation.
The Clinton Campaign opened the door, via Podesta, to the phishers, exposing their entire campaign apparatus.
WikiLeaks got the material, and the big reveal of the corrupt Clinton and their gang of traitors, thieves and merchants of bad actors.
McCain wondered why the Hillary was not wiretapped, and otherwise bugged to the gills, for her connections with Russia as Trump was.
After all she got a pass on the emails. Her email investigation was concluded.
Hillary was not investigated for her Russia collusions.
Only Trump got the Big Eye.
McCain asked why that happened.
Whatever Rubio has done in the past he certainly did great this time . I wonder why now is Rubio doing the right thing for America ( which is to tell the truth about Trump)?
Bravo Rubio ! Bravo Trump hang in there taking all the media attacks for us, for America , for freedom!
<< “ I wonder why now is Rubio doing the right thing for America ( which is to tell the truth about Trump)? “ >>
I did not read the article but saw a headline after the hearing wherein Rubio made it clear that he “did not defend the president”.
Rubio can be a prima donna and does like to demonstrate that he thinks he’s just as smart as the president, rhetorically. The question was, actually, superior and excellent. Rubio knew it would go over, and that it would make him a star for a day among the questioners.
Rubio, however, seems to have lost his boyish sense of humor from only a few months ago. He now wishes to be perceived as cranky and more “mature”, regularly scowling down upon all proceedings, and going out of his way to appear deadly sober in every interview and all other media venues.
They barely dragged him over the line in Florida this time. He didn’t want to run, it was so bad. He didn’t carry Florida as a native son. No wonder he is in a perpetually bad mood. Trust worthy? “Not hardly”. (As John Wayne would say.)
