I don’t blame them for wanting to escape the left coast. I just hope this sort of California Republican is truly similar to the Texas type of Republican. What’s “conservative” in California may or may not be “conservative” according to the South, depending on the specific people in question. Coming to blend in is one thing; carpetbagging is another.
