Donald Trump: The Wall Is Actually Just Renovation of Old Fences
Breitbart ^ | September 14 | Charlie Speiring

Posted on 09/14/2017 7:34:55 AM PDT by EliRoom8

President Donald Trump admitted that he wasn’t actually going to build a great new wall on the southern border but repair existing fences and build selective strategic border structures. “The WALL, which is already under construction in the form of new renovation of old and existing fences and walls, will continue to be built,” Trump wrote on Twitter on Thursday morning.

The president confirmed the fears of many supporters who worry that his campaign promise of a single “great wall” of “hardened concrete” and “rebar and steel” would go unfulfilled.

This is from Breitbart with Steve Bannon “back at the helm”.

Its hard to call “fake news”.

As long as people and drugs can’t get through it, I don’t care what it’s made of.

I blame the Washington RINOs for this. They have deliberately failed to support Trump so what else can he do?? Obviously, the whole matter is far from over, but the RINOs cannot complain. They have forced Trump to this position which is fine with them.

FWIW, I never cared about the wall and considered it more a symbolic gesture.

The ONLY thing I cared about was abolishing Obamacare.

So you know how I’m feeling about the whole R party now...

I don’t care what the “wall” consists of.

I don care if it is two rows of barbed wire with landmines between them (actually that would be pretty cool)

As long as we don’t let people cross over.

I never expected the “wall” to be a concrete structure the whole way through like the great wall of china.

We have two parties in Congress that are really one at the end of the day and pretend differences while the big money corporations and banks get what they want.

NO! The wall is a wall as most of the border doesn’t even have a decent fence. Trump is going to make himself a one term president with this broken promise, especially if he gives amnesty to any illegal aliens. Sad.

I noticed Trump only mentioned repair of an already existing wall.

Breitbart sure seems to be in attack mode. I guess he’s just getting ahead of the other media outlets.

He probably knows other outlets will source Breitbart with stories like this. Great way to increase the visibility again.

I never wanted to see a concrete wall. I do want to see a triple security fence about 20 feet high. From El Paso to San Diego.

Especially if they go ahead with their DACA amnesty. The wall becomes an absolute must.

RENOVATE THE FENCE!

The fence is a joke, anyone can get over even the tall parts of the ‘fence’ in a minute. This is complete and utter capitulation.

Have the Army construction battalions build a WWII style barracks / prison camp. Tell the illegals being deported that if they build X number of CEB (compressed earth blocks) that they will be deported but their records will be cleared and they can then get in line and apply to come to the US just like everyone else.

Use the blocks to build border patrol stations/posts, rail depots, and a wall that is high and wide enough to operate a jeep along the top - great wall of China style. At the top of the wall, south side, put a fence and cameras. Bring the video feeds back to the nearest Border Patrol post.

“I noticed Trump only mentioned repair of an already existing wall.”

Depends on what the “repairs” are.

If that’s what he feels he need to do.

I voted for Donald Trump and don’t regret it a bit.

Jeb or Marco or Ted would have been worse.

I hope we are not going through some kabuki show in Washington where the “Conservative Movement” and Republicans come together to rail against Trump and the Democrats.

None of those people are worth supporting.

We need a new political party and or a new mode of operation.

Gandhi, Martin Luther King.......

Peter Hitchens wrote how we live in a “soft dictatorship” where people with the wrong opinions lose their jobs.

Like Roy Moore in Alabama who lost his job twice and now runs for US Senate.

No Silence, No Violence......

The President is talking to reporters on the tarmac in FL right now. He insists on the wall - not just repairs.
