Last night the Washington Post reported that the infamous “Russia dossier” was partly funded by the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee. The dossier’s inflammatory and unsubstantiated claims about Donald Trump provided the framework for mainstream media treatment of the president for much of the last year and fueled multiple investigations. Here are 10 things to keep in mind about the dossier.

1) Russian officials were sources of key claims in dossier We’re in the midst of media frenzy over Russian disinformation campaigns, particularly as they apply to the 2016 election. It is worth noting that the sources of the “Russia-Trump dossier” were senior Russian officials....

Lefty nut jobs, progressive lunatics, screeching cat ladies on Facebook, and smarmy stooges on CNN continue to make outrageous claims about the so-called Russian dossier, even as it has been uncovered that Clintoonian catamites bought and paid for it. The attached article does a great job reminding everyone that the dossier, despite the cued-up howling of Rachel MadCow, is an unmitigated pile of horsesh*t.

So The Federalist is claiming that there was no Republican, donor or otherwise, who initiated and funded this oppo research that was continued by Democrats, despite President Trump having said just yesterday that he had a pretty good idea who the Republican was?

I sense some scurrying about trying to cover some Republican backsides. I don’t care who it is, Republican, donor, candidate, Democrat, FBI or former President, expose them. This was used to try to negate a Presidential election.

The article states that no Republican was associated with the Russian dossier. It seems that either Jebbie or Rubio had hired Fusion GPS to do opposition research on Trump, but that it was focused Trump's business operations, not any alleged collusion between Trump and the Kremlin.

Nice try, but the so-called “dossier” focused on Trump’s business trips to Russia. No splitting the baby on that one.

The republican candidate/donor intially started the oppo research within the borders of the US focusing on Trump’s business dealings. It was restricted to the primary period. They dropped it after the primaries. Fusion GPS was then hired by the DNC/Clinton campagin. Somewhere along the line Fusion had to get permission from the Republican Cadidate/Donor to allow the DNC to us pre-existing work...none of which apears to be in the Dossier that I can find as its all overseas sourcing.

So the Republicans turned to Fusion for oppo research against Trump...fair enough as long as it was dirty tricks above board if you know what I mean. The DNC/Clinton cabal went a few steps further down that road of collusion and perhaps treason and now here we are....

So who was the oh-so-generous Republican who “allowed” the Democrats access to his oppo research, and why would any Republican want to help Democrats in opposing his own party’s candidate?

I still sense some scurrying about, trying to cover Republican backsides.

We’re in the midst of media frenzy over Russian disinformation campaigns

The American MSM IS the disinformation campaign

without any evidence of any kind

Obama and Co. hoped that lying accusations would be enough.

A Clinton campaign opposition research operation using information or disinformation from top Russian intelligence officials was used by the FBI, these sources say, to enable spying on an opposing political party’s campaign.

Corruption from stem to stern.

the FBI had tried to pay for the dossier and had, in fact, reimbursed expenses for the dossier

Obama's corrupt regime. What crimes are possibly involved here?

The principals at Fusion GPS are well-connected to mainstream media reporters. Fusion GPS was responsible for the dossier. But the group’s larger narrative push to reporters is even more influential, and a difficult story to unpack due to defensiveness, embarrassment, and outright media complicity.

The Lying Leftist Media.

Copy of the actual lying Dossier: https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/3259984-Trump-Intelligence-Allegations.html

Yet because of this dossier, and its selective use by intelligence agencies, we have a special prosecutor running a no-holds-barred investigation into Trump that, according to CNN, has gone into areas that have nothing to do with Russia or the 2016 election. We have two congressional investigations into alleged collusion of Trump and Russia. And we have had thousands of stories focused on supporting the Clinton campaign’s opposition research.

Total Lying Leftist confusion. We will beat them into the ground.

The Steele dossier was a Clinton/DNC-funded operation supported by the FBI and influenced heavily by Russian operatives in the Kremlin

After we beat them into the ground, there should be arrests, prosecutions, and prison for these bastards.

The initial Republican involvement came via the Bushes, since Pappi Bush was formerly head of the CIA, and must maintain contacts in the so-called intelligence community, and they may have nudged the Clintons towards Fusion GPS after Trump secured the nomination. But the fact remains that Fusion GPS didn't hire Steele until the Clintons were footing the bill.

I'm not buying this story, it's CYA. It wasn't that FusionGPS oppo research into Trump's business interests it was this oppo research into Trump's business interests? BS.

I suppose burying Republican complicity would give Trump leverage but I don't think they'll stay knuckled under, they're just too crooked.

I think many of you are missing the biggest point. If there was no GOP involvement, everything points to the FBI creating this dossier and “laundering” it through John McCain to legitimize it.

The FBI created a fictitious document in order to acquire a “legal” FISA warrant in order to wiretap a presidential candidate and provide that info to the other candidate.

In any sane universe, that would mean decades of jail time for many senior FBI officials.

Most certainly. The FBI, the Clintoons/DNC, the never-Trump GOP, and the MSM all played their part in attempting to legitimate this phony dossier that was nothing less than an attempt at a “soft” coup to remove Trump from office.

John McCain laundered it no matter where it originated.

Fusion GPS couldn’t find anything so the Republican donor killed the investigation. Fusion was not happy about the money no longer coming in so they shopped it to the Clinton campaign.

Or there never was a Republican involved. The Clinton campaign is using this lie to make it look like they’re all in it together hoping it will scare the Republicans into stopping all the Congressional investigations.

Not taking up for the Clintons, but isn’t paying for information about a candidate something everyone does?
