A federal grand jury in Washington, DC, on Friday approved the first charges in the investigation led by special counsel Robert Mueller, according to sources briefed on the matter.
The charges are still sealed under orders from a federal judge. Plans were prepared Friday for anyone charged to be taken into custody as soon as Monday, the sources said. It is unclear what the charges are.

That is exactly what he is doing. This way, the media and he can claim that any calls for his resignation or firing are because Trump is trying to "protect his friends and have them escape justice."
It recently came out that Mueller is invested in George Soros' hedge fund, which has a $10 Million minimum investment.
Gee, for a government worker, Mueller sure does seem to have a lot of scratch.
Soros bought and paid for Mueller, and he expects results.
One of the sources cited in the thread indicated that the indictment was sealed for national security reasons, so the identities of the targets won't be known publicly until they are taken into custody.
Hope it’s Meuller who is the first charged and jailed.
Perhaps ‘flight risk’ involved? Or fear of. Suspect hears his name on the TV and flies off to Belize or a muslim country with no extradition treaty. Just guessing of course.
I doubt Mueller would be so stupid to indict Manafort for ‘failing to register’ or ‘ancient money laundering with the Russians’ because it will boomerang quickly against him. No, he has to hit big with this indictment. Anything other than a game changer will leave Mueller looking like a corrupt official trying to cover his own crimes.
From a citizen perspective, watching a cop walk past a woman getting violated, a man getting shot, and another one robbed, so he can give out a parking ticket is distressing. Mueller is close to this reality with a ‘shocking’ indictment, because Seth Rich is shot and dead, the American public have been robbed, and I might say violated by a Secretary of State who committed treason with the Russians.
If I gambled, I would bet my house that it does not have anything to do with a person colluding with the Russians meddling in the election.

You forget the media is in their own narrative and it’s audience is the typical WaPo reader.
So they see a cop walking past two young lovers, kids rough housing, and a man donating to charity to ticket a car driven by a notorious criminal.
I would have agreed with you until I saw the report that suggested the indictments were sealed for national security reasons.
You will also never hear of Podesta’s home being raided at 4 am.
The latest “shiny” to distract from the rampant uniparty corruption in DC.

It’s unlikely that people at the level I expect to be political pawns can or will flee. They have assets and the government would seize them. It is more likely that this is being stage managed for maximum media coverage. Otherwise they could have done all of this in secret and we’d only have found out after the fact, along with the poor saps who will get Zimmermaned*.
