I know the JFK situation fairly well, I never heard about the guy in Raleigh. Thanks for this. More to read up on.

This was all happening at the height of the Cold War. The assassination was one year after the Cuban Missile Crisis. If there was a verifiable connection to the KGB it would no doubt have triggered a major crisis, likely leading to war. At minimum there would’ve been a U.S. move on Cuba and take-out of Castro.

These are mighty big allegations and again I find it incredible to think this wouldn’t have come out in over a half century. Also, the claim that Oswalt worked for the FBI. In what capacity and when? He was barely 24 when he died and he was crazy. How would he have gone from working with the FBI to moving boxes of schoolbooks all in a very short window of time? We need to look really carefully and study these facts before getting too excited about these uncovered documents.

It’s interesting, especially the New Orleans woman. Oswald was in New Orleans peddling pro-Castro garbage. The whole Jim Garrison conspiracy involved a bunch of NO people including Clay Shaw. He plays a big part in the Oliver Stone movie. Nothing came of any of it and there were some people who really tried to press the story besides Garrison.

The CIA had been training thousands of young Cuban men in camps in Southern Florida. The plan was to use them to invade Cuba.

Kennedy balked at the plan and tried to cancel it. However, what were they to do with the thousands of trained killers here in the US.

So the government went ahead with the invasion but Kennedy pulled the rug - he pulled all the heavy artillery and air cover. Many of those young CIA trained fighters died on the beach.

The CIA had a big motive to get rid of Kennedy. And they have the assets.

The route was changed at the last minute and the decision to put the limo top down was a last minute decision.

Nonsense. JFK typically used the open car, on an announced parade route, on political trips.

The Bay of Pigs was a major catastophe. I live in South Florida and know Cuban families who were real Castro victims. Kennedy was a brand new, inexperienced president who made a major error. Eisenhower took him to the woodshed for it and then publicly voiced support for Kennedy to calm the nation’s worries. A year later we had the Cuban Missile Crisis and the outcome was quite different.

I agree that the CIA was anti-communist. They were loaded with cold warriors that Ike himself put into place. That is one reason why Ike’s public support of Kennedy was so important after the Bay of Pigs. Eisenhower is also known to have warned Kennedy about getting mixed up in Viet Nam. Lyndon Johnson, the boorish fool he was, thought he knew better and history tells us how that ended.

I agree, it is perfectly normal to publish presidential parade routes ahead of time, there is nothing nefarious in that.

The original plan was to have the limo roof up. But JFK and other presidents had sometimes ridden in open limos, so it didn’t seem like a big deal at the time to put the roof down.

Woolsey is a credible man. He basically says that yes the KGB recruited Oswald but that they backed off. It appears that Oswald offered himself up no question. Khruschev for sure would’ve liked to kill Kennedy, but again, Oswald was very risky, too risky.

No doubt Oswald was a communist and had delusions of doing big things to show his loyalty to the Soviets but I could just imagine what they thought when they got this kid aside and got into his head. They must’ve been thinking this nutty kid could get us all killed.

“The preceeding evening, the Dallas Times-Herald ran a much larger map of the motorcade route. See what it shows.

In fact, printed descriptions of the motorcade route had been printed in both the Dallas papers on Tuesday, November 19th.

Here is the description in the Dallas Morning News.

Not sure what BS you thought I was referring to, since there’s a lot to choose from, but I was talking about the non-existent surgeon general report.

“Btw..if you bothered to read my posts it is easy to see I read the document.”

But you didn’t notice this kook Potato spouting BS about the motorcade route only being known to a select few people when it was published in Dallas newspapers several days before?

Oswald was an unstable loser, anyone he offered his “sevices” to (various Commies),’ knew right away that he was a loser and a nut job. They didn’t want to have anything to do with him, he was crazy.

I’m sure Kruschev and Castro wanted JFK dead. So what? I’m sure Putin and Rocket Man want Trump dead. I’m sure leaders of countries hostile to the US want to see our POTUS dead, isn’t that par for the course?
