Wrong, wrong, wrong. Good men died looking for this deserter, IIRC.

According to his lawyer: “He has lost nearly a decade of his life.”

Well, sir, others lost theirs completely.

“His name is Colonel Jeffrey Nance and he was not appointed by anybody. He is a member of the Judge Advocate General Corps, assigned to the Trial Judiciary as a military judge.”

His next assignment should be to a one person abandoned missile silo in North Dakota, forthwith.

The sentence is due to trump. I really dont understand it.

I could understand trumps rhetoric causing a problem in the recent attack jihadists case with the criminal process...but I dont understand what the heck his rhetoric has to do with Nance sentence in a military tribunal

He’ll be kept in service as a private for 10 more months, to collect his fine, probably washing dishes in a mess hall somewhere, then be given the Big Chicken Dinner.

He will likely have a fatal accident during that time.

...
Assigned...so who assigns him and how the Heck did he get where he is...then again, we have commies now in west point...

Those around this puke jag commie should make his life a living hell...no salutes, no conversation, he should be ignored until he quits.

Did he ever receive his back pay and other pay when he was returned? Something like he could collect 300K in back pay. If he got the backpay, he should have been forced to forfeit that pay. I can’t find any articles stating he got the back pay.

He lost 8 years of his life? Really, is this dumb ass judge even a bit concerned about the men that died looking for his traitor ass and their families loss? I am beginning to really hate what Obama did to this country. Judges without spines are ruining the entire country.

I usually agree and understand your posts...this one made me take notice. Do you really believe this is because of Trump? If so, why? How?

If Clinton were fuhrer, the sentence would be the same, maybe less.

I hope Trump orders the Army Chief of Staff to immediately deploy COL Nance to Afghanistan on a one year assignment where he will be given the mission to lead a platoon (normally a 2nd Lieutenant position) on search and destroy reconnaissance for jihadi enemy. No doubt within a short time they will engage the enemy. Let your imagination figure out the ending.

This sentence has Obama’s fingerprints all over it. It provides the maximum cover for Obama and ventriloquist dummie Susan Rice. Obama elevated the POS to the highest possible level when he hosted the parents in the Rose Garden to provide window dressing for his prisoner swap. Rice told us all on tv how Bergdhal served with honor and distinction. Obama gave us our longest eight years in our history.

The next time anyone goes to look for a deserter I hope they blow his ass away instead of “arresting” him.

This is the military judge who said he was troubled by Trump’s comments last week, before he handed down the sentence.
This really is an insult. If memory serves, Bergdahl was retroactively promoted to sergeant, meaning he not only got a larger back pay amount for time in captivity, he has been collecting the higher pay during the trial as well. $10,000? That’s his punishment for admitting desertion in the face of the enemy? Really? $5 says Nance voted for Obama.

Private to Sgt in 5 years.... Probably closer to 130K in back pay. If he got it. But he’s been collecting pay for 3 years... so he has lots of dollars...
