Agenda21 they’ll have to kill all of us who don’t live in their controlled enclaves.
This story originally appeared on CALmatters.org. CALmatters is a non-profit journalism venture dedicated to exploring state policies and politics.
The Merc ran this in the Local News section under "Environment." Are you suggesting CALmatters is a "Lying Leftist operative"? As a non-profit journalism venture, they must certainly be above politics, right?
Nah, electric planes and electric cargo ships. Invest in batteries...it’s the new “plastics.”
That was achieved about 20 years ago. Victor Davis Hanson writes frequently about what has happened to the California Central Valley and his hometown of Selma, CA. His stories are so disheartening. Wretched poverty everywhere except for the coastal elites living with 20 miles of the ocean.
What's the liberal response? Double down, pedal to the metal, and never ask "are we doing the right thing here?" Just like authoress Cart wrote in her article -- blindly follow whatever God Government decrees for us.
In spades, Baby.
They are very clear about getting everybody to live in high rises next to the railroad tracks. Then they’ll track the number of miles you drive to tax you: “Oops, you drove over your allotted 6,000 miles last year. Please pay your $10,000 excess mileage surcharge.” Then they will take control as you say and limit your driving. All of this clearly leads to totalitarianism.
Problem is cars aren’t the problem. Urban sprawl and over population are the problem.
How do they accomplish this when they are importing the entire country of mexico every year..:they want cars too, and do not give a flying F*%# about laws environmental or otherwise
I remember when the country had 150 million people. I think it was a lot nicer than today’s 330 million.
The only thing bad that would come from significant global warming is the melting of the Greenland ice cap
If there is anything that would need to be done, it would be reducing CO2 emissions in high-altitudes and high-latitudes.
I would suggest that airplanes flying at high-latitudes use butane. Burning butane would decrease the CO2 the airplanes emit and would increase the amount of water that would wash the CO2 out of the air.
The goal is to force Californians out of their vehicles.
They’ve raised the gas tax. They’ve raised registration fees. Now they’re headed toward a miles-driven tax as well. Toll roads are now in vogue as well.
In Southern California, people drive long distances to work. When you’re looking for work, the jobs aren’t always down the block. You go where the job is.
The idea you can use mass transit with four or five connections to get to your place of employment is just incredibly unsupportable. Two and a half hours is not a decent commute time, especially when you have to spend that time both ways.
I used the buss for two years. During that time what would normally take 15 minutes to drive, took me one hour and fifteen minutes. And for that I had the pleasure of sitting next to homeless people who had just hours before wet themselves and wreaked of the odor. If you’re a female, you get the pleasure of this man hitting on you in a closed environment, you can’t easily avoid.
Mass transit sucks.
This climate business in California is bound to get very ugly over the next 10-20 years.
And all for something that simply does not exist.
There appears to be a connection between her family name and her preferred mode of transportation for the "little people"; donkey cart.
Correct; they use the carbon and release the oxygen into the atmosphere.
Actually very little reduction except for the year Obama took office:

It’s freezing here ,can I has some of your Global Warming
...forests will be managed so that trees store more carbon dioxide
That's a typical throw-away line the leftist idiot authoress read somewhere. How, exactly, are you going to "manage" a forest to do that? Seems like the only possibility would be to ban cutting the trees down so they can "store" the carbon for some additional years. But the trees will die at some point regardless of how they are "managed" and release the stored carbon.
Bull$hit. They want to eliminate the private car for the normal people, but obviously won’t give it up for themselves. The ruling elite will always have its limousines with chauffeurs.
maybe the caliweirdo’s will be forced to walk and ride single speed bikes again.
