WASHINGTON — Rep. Joe Kennedy III of Massachusetts will deliver the Democratic response to President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address next week.
House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer made the announcement in a statement Thursday night. They say Kennedy is “a relentless fighter for working Americans.” The 37-year-old Kennedy is serving his third term in the House.

Well, we’ve had one Kennedy who was a womanizer, one who was a drunk, one who was a puritanically severe prosecutor and McCarthyite, their dad who sympathized with the Nazis and made his cash as a bootlegger, so maybe this one is a compulsive brawler who’ll try to paste one on the Donald during a debate, and be restrained by the Secret Service. Let’s make sure all the stereotypes for Irishmen are represented in this accursed clan.

That is a good point. Why is it that so many leftist elitists get away with claiming they support working people, when few, if any of them have ever worked? Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry, Diane Feinstein, any Kennedy--they always get kudos for caring for "the little guy" when they really have no clue.
I'd love to force them to work at an ordinary person's job, live on that salary, and interact with ordinary people for a couple of years, just so that they might begin to understand and develop real empathy.

Do you mean Bobby? By the way, the dirty little secret is that McCarthy was right. If Bobby was a McCarthyite, that might be his only good point. There’s a really good account of the take-down in one of Ann Coulter’s books.

If one of your neighbors had a habit of giving lavish dinners to all of the neighborhood kids, buying them clothes and school supplies, etc., while keeping his own kids locked in the basement with maybe a few scraps of food thrown their way every couple of days, no one would be talking about what a great, compassionate, generous guy he is. On the contrary, he'd be arrested for child abuse and endangerment. Yet the Democrats are doing exactly this on a large scale, and expecting us to love them for it.
Yup. Bobby. An older friend of mine, who was sentient during the McCarthy years, tells me that him as POTUS was scary. Whether McCarthy was right or not, Bobby was definitely too too much, according to my old friend.
