Messing with the FBI? Trump doesn’t know history [direct threat]
Washington Post ^ | 2/1/18 | Eugene Robinson

Posted on 02/01/2018 7:13:59 PM PST by markomalley

Presidents don’t win fights with the FBI. Donald Trump apparently wants to learn this lesson the hard way.

Most presidents have had the sense not to bully the FBI by defaming its leaders and — ridiculously — painting its agents as leftist political hacks. Most members of Congress have also understood how unwise it would be to pull such stunts. But Trump and his hapless henchmen on Capitol Hill, led by Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), have chosen the wrong enemy. History strongly suggests they will be sorry.

(snip)

Trump and his minions seem to think they can out-leak the FBI. Obviously they haven’t been paying attention.

Youtube: 7mins44secs: NEWT GINGRICH FULL ONE-ON-ONE INTERVIEW WITH SEAN HANNITY (1/31/2018)
4:49: “The elite media is part of the deep state. The elite media group has survived by being in collusion with the senior bureaucracy, the city of Washington, the senior reporters, the senior bureaucrats, the senior lobbyists, they all hang out together, they all talk to each other, they all compare notes.”

6:28 “The elite media in the United States is not neutral. They’re not referees. They’re the offensive wing of the other team. You saw this in some of the clips you had, some of which are frankly outrageously anti-Trump in a way that is almost bizarre. These are folks who are so deeply hostile to what Donald Trump is trying to accomplish that they are fully as much a part of the opposition as is Nancy Pelosi or Chuck Schumer and that’s part of why you’re getting this unbelievably biased coverage.”...

Donald Trump could call Melania a man and the Congress wouldn’t be able to impeach him.

Plainly, that would fit the 25th Amendment process, not impeachment.

Presidents don’t win fights with the FBI.

In a great America, presidents do win fights with the FBI.

Read the Constitution, moron Eugene!

What does it mean that Bezos is behind WaPo?

It means that Amazon is less likely to be Microsquished by the feds than Microsoft was.

"Alexa, don't get me some stinkin' lobbying outfit. Get me the Washington Post!"

Agree.

It’s mind-boggling to think that there are still people on the left making threats just as they are all about to be carted off to prison.

Remember, though... Desperate people do desperate things. They are backed into a corner, with few options. Many of them are guilty of capital crimes, so they have nothing more to lose.

I pray for the safety of President Trump, Rep. Nunes, and all honest men and women who are working to shine the light in the darkness.

Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

the leadership at many federal gub mint agencies have become politicized.
Not the way it is supposed to act.
Those who have politicized said agencies deserve prison time.
Obammy the magic negro is responsible for all this shit.

This is not the first time the FBI has worked to unseat a president.

Strange how the extreme media don’t mention that anymore.

It’s hard to plan assignation by train when the train’s schedule isn’t as fixed as the trash truck ‘that had just picked up the trash at my house’.

I want to know what happened to this large building in center of picture, across from the vet!

It disappeared sometime between 10/20/2013 and 9/18/2015

Traditionally the two snipers/riflemen "Wells and McComas" (of the unit of Aisquith's Sharpshooters") were buried in a local churchyard mourned by their fellow soldiers and citizens of the Town, but later in the 1850s were exhumed and reburied after elaborate processions and funerals in a monumental tomb in Ashland Square, off of Orleans Street and North Gay Street in the Jonestown/Old Town neighborhood of East Baltimore. City streets were also named for them in South Baltimore.   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Ross_(British_Army_officer)

After I'd gone to bed, you reinforced the point I was hoping to convey.
Given Waco, Ruby, Bundy, and who knows how many other travesties in recent years, the organizational amorality in several of these alphabets obviously extends well down the command chain.

Once a hitherto faithful and hard working farm dog tastes blood or turns rabid, there's no rehabilitating the creature - the only recourse is that it be put down.
In the case of the FBI, I'm of the opinion that, absent an overwhelmingly thorough purging, the only alternative may be putting it down as an organization.
What it or any of the others would be replaced with I've no idea, but the nation managed to function in the past without them.

If allowed to continue running roughshod over the rights of America's citizens, Bundyesque reactions are very likely to become both inevitable and legion.
Though the alphabets' personnel are numerous and well-equipped, they must surely realize that they are less than a drop in the bucket against an enraged, determined, Constitution loving citizenry.
The chance of the military ever siding with the seditionists seems remote to me, given the current command personalities and POTUS.

For the moment I remain hopeful that President Trump and his team can contain and begin to mitigate/repair the damage that his traitorous communist predecessor encouraged.
This seems to be a watershed moment in our history and, while unlikely to be around to see it play all the way out, I fervently hope that the white hats can carry the day and halt any further movement toward the brink.

May God bless America, and strengthen our resolve . . .

That’s right, the Memo is just the tip of the iceberg.

They are unhinged because they know that is reality.

Not sure why we have both the FBI and the U.S. Marshall’s Service - seems redundant, but since around 1900, 80% of the feds have become redundant, wasteful, and 80% unconstitutional. The constitutionally supportable department of the DOJ is a mess.

Of course the 80% of the alphabet soup of federal departments, agencies, and bureaucracies which are wholly unconstitutional should be nuked. That would help.
