While there may be other good reasons that the current head of the FBI maybe out to resign, this particular incident is not one of them, regardless of what at least one politician has demanded.
The operational and observational errors that occurred by some in the FBI - and direct oversight of them - were the responsibility of FBI persons further down in the chain of command, and the political demands on the FBI should not be that the head of the FBI resign.
However, those demands should be that he fire and/or demand the resignation of some individuals somewhere down inside the FBI, where the errors took place. Then, the next political response can be set by whether the FBI director takes those actions or not.
Sorry i have to disagree. The command is always responible for the actions or inaction of subordinates. Wray needs ro fire everyone responsible including his subordinate chain of command, then resign himself.
Give these idiots the heads they demand, and all you have left is a hollowed-out shell.
As everything else with our putrid system of governance and societal rot in the new America, nothing will be done. The list of those who will be murdered by more freaks of society in the future with the help of government is set. Maybe my conclusion is too simple but I stand by it: Liberalism is the root cause of most everything wrong with America. I secondly blame those on our side who are just as complicit by appeasement, inadequacy or inaction.

I can’t be sure. Yes, it could be the NSA. But based on everything I’ve been reading lately, if I had to bet, I’d stick with my original guess.
There is a lot of evidence that says the CIA/FBI are corrupt. (Comey, McCabe, Brennan, Clapper, Rosenstein, Strzok, ........ I can’t even remember all of the players.) I have to admit that I have not been a big fan of the NSA because I have long been convinced that they are spying on all of us. And I am still 100% against that.
But stepping back and looking at the big picture, it looks like Adm. Rogers at the NSA was the one who tipped off Pres. Trump that he was being bugged. That doesn’t mean I will give them a pass, but at least in the short term, they are, if not the good guys, then at least the slightly less horrible guys.
There seems to be a rivalry between NSA and CIA. From what I gather, when the NSA started becoming an important player in the spy biz, the CIA got jealous and things went downhill from there. Or maybe they were already going downhill, but the picked up speed. I think the CIA is the heart of the Deep State, where most of the control is.
Some people have the theory - and it sounds plausible to me - that Snowden was a CIA guy who was sent to the NSA to spy on them for the CIA. Then the theories seem to diverge as to exactly what happened. Some think he was horrified at what the CIA was doing. Some think he was horrified at what the NSA was doing. Some think he was just horrified at all of it. Some think his defection/flight to Russia was fake and he is still a CIA operative. I haven’t read enough to have any strong opinions there. But him starting out as a CIA spy sent to spy on the NSA sounds right.

The way I see it, there’s no good way to have a stable of spooks. They inevitably have their own agenda, and as they are masters of misdirection and deceit, you can never really know what that is. Since they’re licensed to commit criminal acts while spying and infiltrating criminal and other spying organizations, it’s impossible to hold them accountable except sometimes. By definition they are conspiring against other conspirators. Nonetheless, the world is too dangerous to simply not engage in spying. And spies are too dangerous to be left to their own devices. So, you do what you can. Don’t trust, and verify where possible. Definitely don’t put them on a pedastal as some “super patriots”. Maybe there are some who are, but it’s not safe to assume that. It’s a creepy business that no major power can do without, and nobody dares trust. It’s also a thankless business, and they’d better not expect thanks.
What does that even mean? They were hand-fed the guy's name so any "investigation of the remark" had to turn up who made it unless they decided to delete the name before reading the sentence and deciding, like they have a habit of, that "there's no threat here - back to the lunchtime cocktails - it's almost 10 AM"....
What is the name of the person in the PAL office that took the call? Perhaps he can explain why the information went no further.
The dots were right there, begging to be connected between the two complaints. Did they put Thompson and Thomson on the case? Or Kling and Klang?
I think they put the Ent brothers on it - Incompet and Neglig...
