About as useful as lipstick on a pig.
= = =
If you don’t put it on the wrong end.
Who else has half-hour minute offsets from Zulu minutes? Some places in India, I think. A whole lot of high-tech infrastructure in advanced countries would have a cow over this.
>>I actually like the winter nights when it gets dark early.
Why???
Most of us see this as the worst and most miserable time of year.
Seems to me the obvious solution is that we need to pass a law stating that the Sun cannot ‘move’ in the sky. It should appear overhead every morning and 12 hours later it should just disappear. It should do this simultaneously over the entire surface of the Earth so that everyone is on the same clock.
Well.... you can always go to bed 2 hours early.
Texas needs to be in its own time zone
I am tired of this crap
Yea, I figured it out after a bit.
Still don’t like it. Feels like its another issue that belongs to the states.
Wow, maybe "open borders" rubio is right on this, single, solitary issue.
It would tend to help Florida vacationing, as it would seem to extend the usable beach hours all year around.
I do. Many students are involved in various after school activities. Which keeps them at school until 5:00pm.(in general). Maybe what should be done is to require all of the students to be involved in some kind of after school activity. Keep them all off the streets until their parents have a chance to get home.
If he lived up north, he might not like how that works in the winter time. Even in So Cal it sucked when Nixon tried it.
Wow. I've been breaking the law for years.
Height of stupidity.
The right thing to do is to end the silly time flip. Go back to sun time
Agree - either keep it year round or just do away with it all together...this time switching thing is no longer useful.
Rubio is responding to his state legislature passing a bill calling for this to be implemented in Florida. That came first.

He’s trying to legalize what his state legislature is already calling on being implemented.
But either way, this time changing should stop - either keep it year round or do away with it.
I guess you missed the vote of your state legislature which preceeded Rubio filing this bill at the federal level:

Thank God the rest of us in Florida voted for him more then once. You guys who love Democrats make me cringe.
Just keep your clocks set an hour forward all year long. At the worst you’ll be early for everything.
Do away with it or make it permanent. Either way would be just fine or implement a single time zone to cover the whole Lower 48 or hell, the whole continent. Or go to decimal time and make it uniform for the whole world. Just quit changing it twice a year.
