Excellent observations. True. I lived on Bartlett and 16th in San Francisco in 1994-1997. Cheerful people, cold weather, and bums everywhere. Cycling through the hills was always delightful. However, the numbers are accurate. 85 thefts from vehicles per day.
Sad how tow trucks will take a car with an inch of bumper in the red paint on a curb. Sad how my car was towed because there was a parade on the street the next day and I failed to see the hand painted sign down the street. Sad how tourists look with disgust on the drunk bums as they visit Embarcadero, Marina Green, and SFMOMA.
Vicious city leaders support homosexuality, abortion, pornography and criminals and ignore Catholic nuns, Catholic schools and Catholic soup kitchens.

San Francisco is 35 miles from the Hoover institute. That is a long drive in the bay area, even if it is counter to the commute.

I was there once and couldn’t see much of the Golden Gate Bridge because of the yellow smog.
Now the city is “red”.
Nuke it from space, just to be sure it’s gone. Worked for Sodom and Gomorrah.

I visited there twice, first in the mid 1960s when it still nice and again on business about 12 years ago. Ugh, horrible place. I will never go back.

My grandparents managed apartments there in the 1960s and 70s. SF was nice back then, even with the zebra murders putting everyone on edge.
The liberal rot of SF has been stunning. My son and I went last year, thinking that we could stay in the city and use BART to get around and visit family and so forth. The filth was astounding. Never again.

I was stationed at NAS Alameda in the mid ‘80’s. I went to San Francisco a couple of times. Even back then Market Street smelled like piss.

One of the first pieces of advice I received from a friend upon moving to San Francisco was that I should empty my car each night and never leave anything in my vehiclenot even a tissue box.I witnessed someone breaking open a public trash bin in order to sift through the items.
Over the course of the last two years, Ive reached out to the cops about hearing gun shots on my street at least five to six times.
last month, a man attempted to break into my apartment around 3 a.m. After about five minutes of banging on my door and fidgeting with the handle, he scampered off as I screamed the cops were coming.
I live in a reasonably decent section of San Francisco
