Oh yes, that’s next.

The health and well being of this woman who is afraid of guns and lives in this apartment complex with this crazy gun owner requires that the gun owner surrender his weapons.

So, if your liberal neighbors accuse you of “acting strangely”, you may be taken into custody and your firearms confiscated?

New wave of SWATing to commence.

That works two ways. Know any libs who are firearms owners? Report them as "acting strangely".

“Speaking and acting irrationally.....”

Like stating that there are more than two genders, or that socialism can be made to work...

I’m an NRA member, Military Veteran and Law Enforcement Veteran, I’ve been around guns and lots of them my whole life. There has to be some sort of reasonable accommodation. If you walk into your job, and threaten shoot everyone there, shouldn’t you have your weapons taken away, until it’s determined you aren’t a threat? If they’d had followed the laws with Cruz, he wouldn’t have been able to do what he did. Florida has no terroristic threat law, like Georgia does, so they have to use the Baker Act to cover scenarios like I just described.

Cruz was used, he was a useful wild card which panned out as the agenda required.

“Many war veterans have PTSD.”

The laws are based on exhibited behaviors, not a diagnosis.

There is no relationship between the two.

If you’re waving around guns, threatening to shoot people and/or yourself...it will not matter if you have a diagnosis. And the reverse is true as well.

My only comment on this.

People are going to rue the day this law ever passed. Who are these mental health professionals that get to decide? This will also cost innocent people money for lawyers.

This is going to be a disaster for RKBA.

Enough idiots there accidentally voted for Buchanon when they were trying to vote for Gore to give Bush Florida.

Don't repeat that BS. They were told that they MIGHT HAVE because of a confusing-to-the-lame butterfly ballot in Gore funded robocalls designed to cast doubt on the outcome.

Buchanan statewide got 0.29% of the vote. From the NY Slimes:
Mr. Buchanan's 3,704 votes in Palm Beach County was by far his strongest showing in any county in Florida, and was 20 percent of his vote total in Florida of 17,358. His second best showing was 1,012 votes in Pinellas County, site of his campaign's Florida headquarters. He received only 561 votes in Miami-Dade and 789 in Broward County, which both have considerably higher populations than Palm Beach County.

Millions were sent to the Gulags because they had mental problems. Like they didn’t like the communist government.

Just saying, this can be used along with those no-longer-private medical records under Obamacare.

“If it gets to the point where you have to bury your weapons off-property, CWII will have already started.”

And the South will rise again. (Except Florida)

Four firearms and 267 rounds of ammunition

If I only had a partial box of .22LR, people would conclude I had some eggs in other baskets - that or another boating accident.

What kind of person only has 267 rounds?

When I worked for the GRPD back in the 70's we had a newly sworn female police officer who was issued a duty weapon. .38 revolvers back then. She was not yet 21, so she had to have her mother buy ammunition for her.

Years later that beautiful young lady was shot in the face while responding to the shooting / killing of a judge in her office by an ex-husband of the judge.

Quite a few years ago, I observed a man probably in his mid 40's walking though the grocery store talking to himself.

I just assumed he was nuts. I had no idea what a blue-tooth was back then. When I mentioned it to my very young wife she told me "he's on blue-tooth." I said what's that, and she explained.

Sorry, not willing to give up civil liberties for momentary populous expediency. The Baker Act is quite specific and has huge ramifications for those caught in its reach. Don’t misunderstand me, it exist for a reason and some indeed require its application. BUT, FL law is very careful traditionally regarding its implication. It will follow you forever and just because someone is “odd” doesn’t mean their life should be ruined by an over zealous government. As for law enforcement, just because someone has a badge doesn’t make them psychological experts. Without due process this will end up like the current sexual climate wherein a woman can accuse you of a sexual transgression and you are stamped guilty with no due process as recourse.

I don’t necessarily disagree, but there has to be some way to get weapons out of the hands of those, who do actually present a clear and present danger to society.

Many doctors will claim owning a gun especially an AR15 or multiple guns is proof that you’re not mentally fit to own a gun.
