Because far from actually saving lives, control is really what they are after.

I no longer believe there can be a peaceful end to the social wars, other than George Orwell's vision. I still don't want a hot civil war, but I cannot imagine a positive outcome without some jolt that reminds people of where government gets its just powers and of our personal responsibility for our own safety. We need to destroy the idea that government can be given a monopoly on power.

When/if they “make their move”, I would guarantee that several liberals will go to their happy hunting ground if they try total confiscation.

The gays made us an implied deal: “Give us ‘marriage’ and we’ll get out of your faces and leave you alone.” They also stated outright that allowing gays to ‘marry’ would never harm straight people.
Well, we gave them what they wanted - in large part to get them out of our faces. Did they get out of our faces and our lives? Do I even need to say more?
I will anyway. Try running a bakery. Try sending your kids to public school. Try letting your daughter to use the bathroom in a Target. Next up for them is ‘normalization’ of adult-child sex.

As I’ve stated before, they’re in it for the long-game. A friend of mine in California recently said - “Yes, I can still buy (certain) semi-automatic long guns and handguns that meet state restrictions, but I’m not loaded with cash, and it’s just not worth the risk of making a single mistake and becoming a felon here.”
I told him that is EXACTLY what the Left wants, and that is how they are bringing an end to private ownership. This guy should have guns, but will not. He’s totally one of us, politically, loves to shoot, love guns - but ‘common sense gun-safety laws’ (as Hillary calls them) means he’ll likely never be a gun owner. So how far will he go to protect gun owners without having any hardware? Sadly not as far as he would if he owned. And so, the political base defending the Second Amendment (and many, many, other causes we hold dear) gets slowly chipped away - for him, just too expensive now, and too risky.
We are strong now, very strong - but they will continue to chip away. They won’t allow armed civilians in schools because they know FULL WELL what that will mean for their efforts - virtually no more kids being shot up - and without a constant supply of dead kids, the ability to keep squeezing gun owners simply will not exist. Sadly, that’s the level they’re now playing at. It is up to us to decide whether we can play at that level, or should we just concede to them?

exactly. Liberals wont quit until all conservatives are dead or slaves and liberals will turn on each other as soon as the conservative problem is taken care of..
