In the midst of an opioid crisis, with drug-related and mental-health related homelessness a national epidemic, the country is rushing to promote and de-stigmatize an entry-level drug - a drug that can trigger paranoia and other mental disorders - and make it easier to obtain and use. Makes a lot of sense.
Oh, yeah - that’s all we need is millions of more Americans walking around stoned. That should definitely have a happy ending. /s

This is a touchy subject for me because I PERSONALLY know too many people who used marijuana for cancer treatment. One had such a huge recovery the DR asked him if there was anything he was doing to treat it. When he told him of the medical marijuana derivative he was using, the doctor got almost physically belligerent.
But my friend (and a lot of other acquaintances) were cured.
And the non-THC extract (CDL, I think) drastically eliminated my wife’s insomnia.
i.e. medical marijuana effectiveness is not quackery. Results speak for themselves.
And thanks to the internet, it’s easy to find all sorts of natural cures. e.g. Black Cherry juice for my gout.
