Even so, there was an emerging and thriving black middle class until the Soviet activists hit them, and everybody else, creating the black panthers, the hippies, the bra-burners, the queers, left-wing militants, the tree-huggers, baby killers etc etc etc. Dividing and conquering America.
And then Communist LBJ clobbered them with “The Great Society” destroying the black family with welfare and “Urban Renewal” bulldozing entire neighborhoods including functioning black businesses.
In case you hadn’t noticed...the Soviets are now gone, but they won the Cold War.
I can’t argue with you there.
Jefferson owned slaves. Even though he did, I still revere him and all Americans of every color owes him a debt of gratitude. That said, he wasn’t perfect.
