OTOH...there's absolutely NOTHING worse than boiled sugar hitting your skin...re making peanut brittle, as I learned the hard way, when I was 12.
OTOH...making chocolate truffles are not difficult to master and the chance of getting burned much less! :-)
When cooked correctly, a leg, rack, or other kinds of lamb should NOT have a pungent nor gamey or "offensive" odor at all.

Lamb is a great favorite of the French people. Jambalaya is a Creole dish. French Protestants escaped to Canada and then split up, some descending to Louisiana and becoming Creole. Our First Lady’s Choice of menu was superb, honoring the French while at the same time honoring America.
Ericson wants the attention so people will tune in. Everybody knows bashing Trump gets the media’s attention.....thus folks seeking that up the anti whenever ratings are dropping. The dems do it because it gives them face time as well..which will just increase the closer their mid term elections come.
That’s all they got to get news is to bash Trump....and keep the news cycles in play.

I AM a huge fan of lamb, properly cooked. Lamb is the Red Meat that is best for you and can be digested by people who can not eat other meats. Lamb fat is the worst for you so be sure to eliminate it while carving.
Just had leg of lamb last week, because it was on sale and it’s ridiculously easy to cook.
LOL! I do think anybody can learn to cook even if it is hard to procure the best products. Isn’t it funny how he thinks he can just pontificate on a subject he knows nothing about?

Lamb fat is lousy, unfortunately. In England, they have recipes to make it into gravy but I can’t imagine that. Too greasy. Maybe too gamey as well although I love lamb and buy Australian lamb chops at least once a week.

That sounds lovely. I just had something similar served at a NYC restaurant called Sandro’s. It was ravioli stuffed with lemon and ricotta in a gorgeous cheese sauce.
I haven’t read about the Mt. Vernon menu nor seen pix. I was just there at Christmastime and would love to know where they ate on the estate - perhaps the large, Wedgewood-Blue dining room?! I hope so.
