Kim Says He’ll Give Up Weapons if U.S. Promises Not to Invade

>SEOUL, South Korea — North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong-un, told President Moon Jae-in of South Korea when they met that he would abandon his nuclear weapons if the United States would agree to formally end the Korean War and promise that it would not invade his country, a South Korean government spokesman said Sunday.

In a faith-building gesture ahead of a summit meeting with President Trump, Mr. Kim also said he would invite experts and journalists from South Korea and the United States to watch the shutdown next month of his country’s only known underground nuclear test site.

The comments by Mr. Kim were made on Friday when the leaders of the two Koreas met at Panmunjom, a village on their shared border, the spokesman, Yoon Young-chan, said on Sunday, providing additional details of the meeting.

“I know the Americans are inherently disposed against us, but when they talk with us, they will see that I am not the kind of person who would shoot nuclear weapons to the south, over the Pacific or at the United States,” Mr. Kim told Mr. Moon, according to Mr. Yoon’s account of the meeting.

Is it true that when the radioactive mountain that served as the test site caved in that many of his nuclear scientists were all killed? THAT could explain a lot!

“Kim Says He’ll Give Up Weapons if U.S. Promises Not to Invade”

Sure sounds like Kim’s surrendering to the US can not be soon enough in his book....even more so than Obama’s surrendering to Iran with his agreement to let them have nukes and provide them 150 billion to build and deliver them. Quite a feat.

OK, we promise not to invade, but if we catch you cheating, we will cook your ass to cinders.

I think if being awarded the Nobel peace prize gives one the incentive to commit to a war soon thereafter with a nation in which we have absolutely no vital national security interest like Libya, President Trump might want to consider pulling a Marlon Brando and send Princess Littlefeather to Norway to decline the Nobel oscar on his behalf.

Kim was also making conciliatory statements about relations with Japan. I’m hoping that Trump can go there, and close the deal. It would be fun to see the meltdown on CNN, MSNBC, etc., if that were to happen.

Good to hear the crypto-liberals telling us that missiles that have
already flown thousands of miles are no threat

I can’t help but feel this is “too good to be true”.

What if China has broader plans? What if this is all a ruse to remove U.S. influence in the region? What if they’re pressuring lil’ Kim to unite with the demand that we leave?

I just don’t trust this murdering dictator for a microsecond. I don’t trust China either.

Be nice to see those Tide Pod eaters start a light blub drive for North Korea

They would demand that only windmills and solar panels and LED bulbs be used to provide electricity and lights
to help advance the deprived and starving NK people.

Details matter......THIS makes you want to go Hum-mmm....

Sitting 'next to Moon at the negotiating table' yesterday was 'chief of staff Im Jong-seok', .....who boasts one of most interesting backstories which included a 3.5-year prison stint for 'abetting the enemy (N. Korea)' and 'collecting royalties for Pyongyang' and previously 'voiced skepticism about the U.S.'............

You can see Jung sitting there next to Moon here....

Here’s what I know of Pres. moons chief of staff....

‘Communist’ Past Life yet now President Moon’s right hand man.

In 1989, South Korean authorities charged Im Jong-seok with colluding with the enemy (n.KoreA) after he helped a fellow student make a secret illegal trip to North Korea to meet then-dictator Kim Il Sung—a propaganda coup at the time for Pyongyang.
